Guest guest
Dear Professor, I came across a case today, which I think only makes sense if Mercury, 11th lord of Virgo is considered malefic. I am submitting this native's birth data and the transits in question for your consideration as I really need a clarification. I am extremelly confused because from the SA texts I read, none says the 11th lord should be malefic. data for the native (female) - 23/02/1955 - 02.33 in Tripoli, Lybia transit for appendicitis - 15/05/1996 at 11 AM in Boston, MA Dasha at the time was ME/ME/ME. This Mercury is strong and unafflicted and so it should be 100% benefic according to SA. As can be seen from the transits, the only planets that could affect the MEP of any house were the Moon, the Sun, Mercury and Venus. All benefic, except for Venus, but Venus was by then transiting her 7th/8th house, which makes sense because being her 12th lord it brought her into hospital, but it would not justify her appendix emergency operation, however Mercury does because Mercury rules Virgo and Virgo rules appendix and appendicitis. I would imagine Mercury, a quick planet, would have originated the problem a few days before the operation, while still transiting last degrees of 6th (appendicitis is ruled by 6th). Mars is too far from the MEP and SA say that malefics never harm their MT houses. I am sorry if this email upsets you, but I really need to get this right. Thank you for your time and patience, Rui. You have ignored the close affliction of transit Jupiter by natal MMP, the utter weakness of the Sun and Mercury in the sixth house prior to the operation and the ensuing transit affliction of natal Mercury by transit Rahu. > Thank you for your time and patience, Rui. > > > > >
Guest guest
Thank you dear Professor, I had not thought of the Triple Transit!!! Yes, natal Venus was afflicting transiting Jupiter and natal Jupiter is already weak. So, this means weak Jupiter's negative energy together with 6th house negative energy plus the fact that Mercury was combust made it so weak it was harmful to the native and caused the appendicitis, plus the Sun (significator for health) was also weak. I cannot think of any other significator for appendix... Thanks again, Rui.
