Guest guest
Dear Prof ji: Can you share your thoughts on the following: a) Impact of lordship where the lord of the 8th (Mercury) is placed in 10th house (Scorpio) and the lord of the 10th (Mars) is placed in 8th House (Virgo). What rules / tactics do you use in such situations where the lords of the houses are switched? b) Please share your views on Saturn Retrograde ( 25:21) in 2nd house (pisces) Thanks and pranaam. Guest guest
Hello Mahendra, RETROGRADE PLANETS This is only a visionary phenomenon as this occurs due to different speeds of the planets in relation to the earth. The effects on a natal chart are due to fixed angular position of planets with reference to a particular place on the earth for a particular time, natal or transit. Though the classical as well as some of the modern commentators have ascribed different views for the results of retrograde planets, the author is of the firm view that retrograde planets are to be treated in a normal way as per their longitudes, so far as the natal influences are concerned. However, the transit influences of a planet appearing to be in retrograde motion and then direct motion are prolonged on a specified degree(s). RESULTS OF EXCHANGE OF HOUSES OR ASTERISMS The situation, in which a planet 'A' is placed in a sign or nakshatra ruled by the planet 'B' and the planet 'B' is placed in a sign or nakshatra ruled by the planet 'A', is considered as exchange of houses or exchange of nakshatra (asterisms). For example, if the Sun is placed in the sign Scorpio and the planet Mars is placed in the sign, Leo, then the classical works considers this as exchange of houses by the Sun and Mars. Under the Systems' Approach, we do not recognize this concept. Each planet is considered, separately, for its placement, strength, relationship with other planets, etc. I add my replies/comments to your questions in your message appended below. Best wishes, - " Mahendra " <mahendra_gr Thursday, November 03, 2005 8:50 PM 8th and 10th house lordships > Dear Prof ji: > Can you share your thoughts on the following: > > a) Impact of lordship where the lord of the 8th (Mercury) is placed in > 10th house (Scorpio) and the lord of the 10th (Mars) is placed in 8th > House (Virgo). > WHEN THERE IS NO MT SIGN IN THE TENTH HOUSE WE WILL NOT CONSIDER MARS AS LORD OF THE TENTH HOUSE. MARS IS THE LORD OF THE THIRD HOUSE FOR THOSE BORN IN AQUARIUS ASCENDANT.
