Guest guest
Dear Sir, The statement " If a planet is a functional benefic in D-I but turns out to be a functional malefic for the D Chart, its malefic impact would be limited to the respective D Chart only. " ......means that in every div chart depending on the rising sign the FMs vary? So my understanding from this is the functional malefics in the rasi chart do not necessarily carry forward to the div charts. Is that right? Also for a particular significator in the natal chart apart from checking whether it is exalted, debilitated or afflicted in the divisional charts is it also important to check the strength of its dispositor(if its a MT sign) in the rasi chart? What if it is placed in a non MT sign in the div chart would the strength of its lord in the natal chart be still important? In case the dispositor is rendered weak in the natal chart should we assume that the significator which is placed in its sign in the div chart is also considered weak for that particular signification? Thanks and regards, PNR

Guest guest
Dear Sir, Let me just rephrase the second question slightly by giving an example.... In my own natal chart Jupiter is strong and placed in the 9th house. In the navamsha chart, Aries is the rising sign and Jupiter is placed in the sign Aquarius. Its lord Saturn being weak in the natal chart(in the 6th and afflicted by ketu) does it mean that Jupiter in the navamsha is weak because of its placement? So every divisional chart has to be analyzed just like the natal chart with respect to the benefics, malefics, aspects and afflictions taking into account the rising sign of that div chart? Since Aries is the rising sign in my navamsha chart then mercury, rahu, ketu would be the FMs for this div chart? I'm just wondering what would happen if a functional benefic in the natal chart becomes a malefic for a particular div chart....what would its effect be? Thanks and regards PNR , <siha> wrote: > > > > Hello PNR, > > I add my replies/comments to your questions in your message appended below. > > > Best wishes, > > > > - > " pnr312 " <pnr312> > > Tuesday, October 25, 2005 9:51 PM > Divisional chart > > > > Dear Sir, > > > > The statement " If a planet is a functional benefic in D-I but turns > > out to be a functional malefic for the D Chart, its malefic impact > > would be limited to the respective D Chart only. THAT THE PLANET IS NOT IN DEBILITATION 2. THE PLANET IS NOT BADLY PLACED 3. THE PLANET IS NOT AFFLICTED BY THE FMs OF DC. THIS EXERCISE IS ONLY NEEDED FOR THE PLANETS WHICH ARE STRONG IN THE MAIN CHART. IF THEY ARE WEAK IN THE MAIN CHART THEY CONTINUE TO BE WEAK IN THE DC. > So every divisional chart has to be analyzed just like the natal > chart with respect to the benefics, malefics, aspects and afflictions > taking into account the rising sign of that div chart? > I THINK ANSWER ABOVE WILL ANSWER THIS QUESTION. > Since Aries is the rising sign in my navamsha chart then > mercury, rahu, ketu would be the FMs for this div chart?
