Dear List Members,

I am in the process of looking for some charities in the US. If any

member has had some experience working with charities specifically for

the propitiation of Saturn, Jupiter or Mercury and Rahu and Ketu in

the US, it will be extremely helpful if some information is shared

regarding this. Any suggestions are welcome.

Thanks and Regards,

PNR

Dear PNR,

The following charities (or similar ones) can be used for various

purposes.

1. Shephards of good hope [ For donating uncooked food items for

their soup kitchen for feeding poor/needy]

2. Salvation Army [ For donating uncooked food items for their soup

kitchen for feeding poor/needy]

3. Local food banks (same as above)

4. CARE/World vision [For sponsoring a poor/needy child/student -

Monthly payments]

5. Help Age India [For sponsoring an old age person - Monthly

payments are accepted]

6. Local old age homes can be contacted for donating food/clothing

etc.

7. Homes & shelters for battered wives, recovering drug addicts,

mental diseases homes, people recovering from prostitution etc. can

be looked in your local phone books.

best wishes,

Dear Mr Anshev,

Thank you for taking the time to reply. I really appreciate it. This

list is pretty exhaustive and helpful. I will certainly look into

these organizations in my area and see what I can do by way of

donations.

Thanks and regards,

PNR

Very good list of charities. Thanks for sending it.

This is especially useful to people abroad where finding/feeding

birds and street dogs is impossible.

Few more

Unicef

American Redcross

Asha for education, Vibha etc

Few Leprosy foundations

Question:

Donating to Humane society - can it be considered charity for Ketu?

I want to add something here. I worked for the

Canadian National Institute for the Blind for 2 years,

and many of our donors would write on their cheques

exactly where they would like their money to go (Guide

Dog training, orientation and mobility training,

seniors programs, youth programs, job training, the

library etc) and our computer system was set up with

various fund codes so we could allocate the money as

requested.

Most other charities have a similiar set-up, so if you

want to target something specific, all you have to do

is write it on the memo line of your cheque.

Dear yweling,

Namaskar,

> Question:

> Donating to Humane society - can it be considered charity for Ketu?

I would think so... If you donate dog food (ask them in advance

which brand they use for feeding dogs)... I would think it should

suffice as feeding dogs.
