Guest guest
I'm confused by something. One of my friends and I have the same Lagna sign Capricorn, but our appearances are completely different. I'm blond, medium height, and full-bodied w/ blue eyes, and he is dark-haired, tall, skinny, brown-eyed and dark-skinned (we're both the same ethnicity, so that plays no role). If the Lagna sign determines appearance, how can we look so unalike? ryan Mail - PC Magazine Editors' Choice 2005
Guest guest
Hello Ryan, We have also to study the influences of other planets on the ascendant. Guest guest
Hi Ryan, Please send your date of birth as well your friends. I think it could be interesting to check the differences. And, by the way, I am a Capricorn too :-) Regards, R. --- Ryan Rocheleau <eleblanc1982 wrote: > I'm confused by something. Guest guest
Dear Ryan, I have joined this group because it is a space for students to learn Astrology and I thought that the discussion of charts was a way of learning Astrology. From your email now, I am a bit unsure my reading of this group has always been from the start wrong and maybe I am imposing on other people's time like you say. That was never my intention and I apologize if I am doing that. Comments on this email would be important to me because I do not like to impose on anyone's time, but I do know that with my Sun in Gemini conjunct Mercury and Jupiter in Virgo, I will always be rather a nervous communicator and sometimes without being deliberate my Mercurian nature may go against this group's Jupierian philosophy? Kind regards, R. Ryan Rocheleau <eleblanc1982 wrote: > You really think I should? I mean I don't want to impose on anyone's time. Guest guest
No, no, you get me wrong. I just don't want people thinking that I joined this list for the purpose of getting free readings, that's all. Many astrology lists are plagued by people, (at least the western astrology ones are), who only join to get a reading, and as soon as they get it, they leave. I really didn't mean anything negative by my response. I just wanted to make sure it was ok. Guest guest
Hi Ryan, You will find that on this list apart from getting a reading, this branch of astrology is so much more clearer and the Professor who introduced this concept is kind enough to answer a lot of the queries that in no time at all you would be able to do a good reading of your birth chart yourself , so I doubt you or anybody else who join this list would want to leave in a hurry. Guest guest
Well, than this is a special list. I'm glad I'm on it... I just wanted to be clear though that my primary motive for joining this list though is to study and learn Systems Approach rather than to get a reading because it has been my past experience on other astrology lists that many would join just for readings and then not contribute anything after that. Ryan P.S. Regarding my earlier question about physical appearances: my birth data is November 26, 1982 11:48 AM, Toronto, Canada (43N39, 79W23), while my friend's is March 29, 1975 4:00 AM, Odessa, Ukraine. --- pnr312 <pnr312 wrote: > > Hi Ryan, > > You will find that on this list apart from getting a > reading, this > branch of astrology is so much more clearer and the > Professor who > introduced this concept is kind enough to answer a > lot of the > queries that in no time at all you would be able to > do a good > reading of your birth chart yourself , so I doubt > you or anybody > else who join this list would want to leave in a > hurry. > > Regards, > PNR > > , Ryan Rocheleau > <eleblanc1982> > wrote: > > No, no, you get me wrong. Guest guest
Dear Ryan It is natural for a Capricorn such yourself to be concerned whether you are bothering people or not. Capricorns are social but cautious and the last thing a good Capricorn would do would be to impose on other's people time. For this, Capricorns are normally misunderstood. For example, I had once the opportunity of training a new starters group at my previous job. There were 4 people, and of course later on I did their charts because they were all interested in Astrology. The Capricorn Ascendant girl was the last one to ask me for her chart and during training she would not ask many questions and most of the few questions she'd ask for me revealed that she had no clue what I was teaching them, but in the end she was the one who had the best results in the written test! Having a very quick look at your chart and your friend's, yes, both seem to be Capricorns, but you have Moon in Pisces and your lagnesh (Saturn) is quite happy and apparently unafflicted in Libra. Whereas your friend has moon in Virgo another earth sign and his Saturn is in Gemini - also ruled by Mercury, but still a dusthana (6th), which would weaken his lagnesh. From the charts I made, I came across people whose ascendants did not quite match their appearance, like a blond and rather red Taurus ascendant whose Venus or 1st house was not aspected by any other planet, but his Moon was in Sagittarius, a fire sign and that I thought was what made him blond... In your case, with a happy Saturn in Libra and Moon in Pisces, I would say Saturn would be at its best and would help you being handsome, plus Moon in Pisces would give you a blond handsome Jupiterian look. Your friend has Moon in Virgo, with Saturn in the negative 6th, plus Mars is in his ascendant very near the Most Effective point of that 1st house. Mars would make him darker anyway, but the position of the Moon and the lagnesh I think would also have a darkening effect to his life and one concern for him should be his health because of Saturn in 6th, however Functional Benefic Mars exalted in Capricorn should help him fight disease and because it is in the ascendant, it would perhaps make him be a less cautious Capricorn. His sun in Pisces conjunct Jupiter may mean he'd work abroad or as a teacher. I also notice that you have your Moon in the exact same degree your friend has his Sun, this should mean you understand him well and your friendship should be strong and long lasting. As I said, this is just a quick look and it is the opinion of a student of Astrology. Maybe other members would like to comment and even give out to me if I have said anyhting wrong and I would be open to constructive criticism. But the main thing would be to explain to Ryan why even though they are both Capricorns, there are planetary influences that would make them different. Guest guest
Wow! You're very skillful at weaving such a rich tapestry- there are so many factors that come into play, aren't there? I hope I'll be able to read a chart as well as you can someday. You're right too about my friend's health problems, and he is a real risk taker, and gambler. He doesn't work though because of his poor health. Thank you so much for illustrating the various factors that can influence appearance besides the lagna- it gives me a real appreciation for the subtlety of Jyotish.
