Guest guest
Dear professor, In the propitiation section, you have indicated for Sun, Moon, Mars and Mer - offering food articles to cows for Jup and Ven to birds and for Sat/Rah/Ketu helping people 9speacial type). What is the reason for the difference. Is it acceptable to offer different typr of food items to cows only as cow is considered so holy (all the Daivi Shaktis reside in her). What is the logic behind these remedies? I know someone ( avery good soul) that organizes the release of captured fish back to the water on Tuesday and the throwing a Pateesa (sweet) in the water for the fish. He says that this propitiaties Rahu. Some books say the the day for Ketu is Tuesday, some Wednesday and some Thursday. For Rahu, I have heard Saturday. Which one is in your opinion the correct one? Guest guest
Hello Mr. Sharma, There are some aspects which have been in prevalence based on experiences of the learned people. To find and tell logic about every thing is very difficult. Tuesday is considered as day for Ketu and both Friday and Saturday are considered as the days for Rahu. Offerings for Rahu and Ketu are given to alleviate the pitra sapa - the curses of forefathers found in the chart in the form of close afflictions of Rahu and Ketu. Services to parents, old-age needy persons and poor people is also recommended in that spirit. For Rahu and Ketu the preferred propitiatory charities are for crows and street dogs, respectively. Crows in mythological literature represents forefathers. Ketu represents spiritual persons. In the days of sradhas (the lunal paksha dedicated to the forefathers) the food is offered to crows, street dogs and cows and it is believed to be for Rahu, Ketu and the parents. For the Sun and Moon the preferred propitiatory charities are for the ox/cow and the cow, respectively. The afflictions of the Sun and the Moon are believed to be attributed to the king/father and mother respectively. For Mercury the preferred propitiatory charities are recommended for the poor and needy children/students. Close affliction of Mercury is believed to be attributed to the wrongs done to the poor and needy children/students. For Mars the preferred propitiatory charities are recommended for the servants, younger brothers, etc. Close affliction of Mars is believed to be attributed to the wrongs done to servants and younger brothers. For Venus the preferred propitiatory charities are recommended for the needy women, wife, etc. Close affliction of Venus in the natal chart is belived to be attributed to the wrongs done to females or one's wife in previous lives. For Saturn the preferred propitiatory charities are recommended for the poor people. The close affliction of Saturn in the natal chart is believed to be attributed to the wrongs done to servants or poor people in one's previous lives. For Jupiter the preferred propitiatory charities/services are recommended for guru, learned people and husband. The close affliction of Jupiter in the natal chart is believed to be attributed to wrongs done to learned people, one's guru and one's husband in the case of females in the previous lives. Similarly, there are articles of food which are attributed to various planets and they are recommended for charities as propitiatory remedies. Guest guest
Thank you. Very logical and clear. Everything relates to karma, past and present. The only question I have is the differences between servants as indicated by Mars and that by Saturn. Is there any difference or are both type of servants the same. I must say that this group is like doing a PhD. Obviously your 10th Jupiter inspires you to do good. I appreciate your feedback very much. Guest guest
Not to forget the greatest servant of them all, Lord Sri Hanuman: Lord Ram " Tai mum priye Lacchiman te Doona. Sam Darsee mohi keh sab kohu, sevak priya ananyagati sohu. So ananya jaake asi mati na tarai Hanumant, main sevak Sacharaachar roop swami Bhagwant! To reward close associates who serve is indeed a great karma, just as Sri Ram rewarded both Sugreeva and Vibheeshana and gave the ultimate reward to Hanumanji. A malefic Mars, does indeed indicate bad karma in the past. I will be aware of this. Guest guest
, This is a great information and excellent learning. As the various attributes are correlated for afflictions of different planets to different terms, what shall be the correlations of weak planets in same terms. Will the different type of weakness get correlated differently like infancy, old age, debilitation, combustion, debilitation in divisional charts? Thanks Aman On 8/10/05, prithvi.sharma <prithvi.sharma wrote: > Not to forget the greatest servant of them all, Lord Sri Hanuman: > > Lord Ram " Tai mum priye Lacchiman te Doona.
