His birth details are given below. He is a Scorpio lagna (22Sc05). Date and time of birth: 26 June 1942, 6:09 pm Place of birth: Kohala, Dist Amritsar, lat: 31N34, long: 74E50 Two years ago he bought a shop/store in San Francisco, USA for US$ 200,000. He was hoping to make a living by running the shop/store. But for the past two years he has not made anything on it. In fact he has been putting into the shop/store more and more to cover his losses. He has borrowed $ 50,000 from his son towards this end. As a way out, he has been trying to sell the shop/store but no one wants to buy it because the rent of the shop/store is too high and the sales are not enough to cover the running costs. The other option is to shut it down which will mean more losses. Some astrologer told him that he will not be able to sell it but it will start to do well. Another one told him that he must wait till July 2005 and he will be able to sell it at a good price. But nothing seems to be happening. He asked me to take a look at his horoscope and see what would be the best course of action. What is going to happen in his life? I can see Ketu's affliction of Sun and Jupiter, both badly placed in the 8th house. Other than this, there is no other affliction. FB Moon, lord of the 9th house of fortune is debilitated. Saturn is debilitated in navamsa. Only Mercury, lord of the 11th house of income and gains, is strong and well placed in the 7th house. I will recommend a power kavach to strengthen weak FBs and propitiation of Ketu. But what should he do with the shop/store? Should he sell now at a loss or should he wait to sell at a later date hoping to get a better price? Or should he hold on and continue with the hope that his business will improve? Even my weekly forecast is giving such warnings. Scorpions had their fourth lord saturn in the eighth house ruling obstructions from aug 2002 to mid sept 2004 and then saturn was weak. So, I would never have advised for this venture or would have warned or suggested astral remedies. Of course, now Saturn has come to the house of fortune and shows better results. Your analysis of his chart is OK. With following your astral advice and wait he is likely to get a better price. I had sent you scanned copies of his Janam Kundli which was written in Hindi or Punjabi. The time of birth was in ghatis etc. You had very kindly deciphered the contents and given the time of birth in hours and minutes. I had cast his chart in JJ then. The file was still on my computer from where I retrieved the birth details. With best regards.
