In your chart the lagna rises in Capricorn at 18 deg 45' with Gemini Navamsa.

 

Upa-pada Lagna(UL) lies in Aries. 2nd to UL has exalted Moon but Lord Venus joins Ketu indicating there were many sensitive issues in the marriage causing troubles. 8th to UL has graha drishti of Mars and Saturn, both Retrogate, indicating a troublesome situation where Ego, self-centeredness, Stubborness, high voltage anger, harsh situations, physical fights went through in the marriage. With 8th to UL Lord Mars joining Rahu - the Atmakaraka(Ak) - a harsh lesson of life was to be learnt. Jupiter presence there in retrogation did not help any interference of elders / learned members to save the marriage.

 

Regarding Second Marriage, now 8th to UL will become the next UL. So, next UL is Scorpio and 2nd to UL2 is Sagittarius whose Lord Jupiter is again with Mars & Rahu. Further it has rasi drishti of Retrogate Saturn indicating coldness, uncaring attitude and aloofness after marriage. Hence, 2nd marriage also indicates trouble. Shifting the UL to the 8th house again for next option - UL3 - and this will have UL in Gemini. Its lord Mercury is with Sun which is a good combination though Mercury is combust. 2nd to UL3 is Cancer. Cancer lord Moon is exalted and Cancer has Rasi Drishti of exalted Moon, Venus and Ketu. Ketu's affliction does indicate some trouble but exaltation of moon should be able to set it off with time. 8th to UL3 will have Sun & Mercury and not dire malefics to hamper the marriage.

 

Hence, get a Kumbh Vivah done. This will also nullify the negative effects indicated after marriage and then start searching for a partner. As Jupiter enters Aquarius i.e in 2010 and crosses over natal Venus in Vimshottari Dasa of Rahu-Moon which ends by Nov 2010 you can expect to get married.

 

Also, Fast regularly on Every Tuesday. With Ak being Rahu, 12th to Ak in Navamsa has Moon and Mercury with Mercury representing the Ishta Devata. Pray to Lord Rama or Lord Vishnu / Lord Narayana (whichever one you feel comfortable with / attracted to) which will help you to sail through trouble waters.

 

Your Chart indicates settling abroad and not returning back to India.

Hello,

 

I am at a point in my life where I need some hope. I believe that with astrology I can gain some confidence and hope for the future. I was in a marriage for 7.5 years which ended officially this past June. The process had been going on for the past year or so. I was in a abusive relationship and was not happy. I left india with my ex husband and am in the US now while he left and went back. I am pursuing my phD and will be finishing before May of this year. Does my chart indicate that I will settle down in the US after my phd or will i go back to india? Also is there a possibility for a second, happier marriage? I really want to have a happy marriage one day with kids and experience the joy that comes with that because even though my first marriage failed I still have hope that there are decent guys out there. There is someone that I like a lot right now but he is dating someone else. I have known him for 5 years and we are good friends. My birth!
