Dear Gautam,

[ 1 ] Yes, you can contribute the money on behalf of those who might

refuse to contribute. The amount should be enough to do both the

upaya suggested for 'pitri rin'

[ 2 ] Extended family does not include those who are dead. Yes you

have to count your elder brothers family also.

[ 3 ] While going to a temple you could get down a stop earlier and

walk to the temple bare foot. Or you could walk down bare foot to

your neighbourhood temple.

Sincerely,

Priya

Dear Guruji,

I am far away from my home. For upaya [1] of pitr rin I called my

mother she said she will send the conntributions for her and my

father. It will be difficult to discuss the matter with my uncles.

So for that she wanted to send for them but I have said not to send

for them because I should contribute on their behalf.

My question is

1. I will get the list of names of all the members of my extended

family from my mother. Should i contact the pujari of a temple for a

puja to make donation in which all the names can be read. or just

plainly i should give the donation to the pujari.

2. For upaya [2] can i use ghee on the kaudis to ensure they burn

properly. I am not aquainted with wooden charcoal.

I will go to nasik since we do not have river in mumbai.

3. Should i follow the sequence in which you have told the upaya.

Can i start applying haldi tilak before doing upaya for pitr rin.

Sincerely

Gautam

Dear Gautam,

[ 1 ] No pooja is needed to make a donation to any temple. But I

would advise you to give some items to be used in the temple instead

of money to the poojari. You can get some facility added in a temple.

[ 2 ] Wood charcoal is kachcha koyala got by burning fuel wood. You

do not have to go to Nasik for the upaya. The upaya can be done at

the sea shore also. No, you should not use Ghee to get the kaudis

burned. You can use Karosen oil { mitti ka tel }instead.

[ 3 ] You can follow any sequence depending on your convenience.

Sincerely,

Priya

Dear Guruji,

I had sent letter to my parents for the count of members of my

extended family. I have already donated a wall fan to a temple and it

is fixed and working.

[1] I was little confused about the inclusion of my brother's daughter

and cousin sisters in the count. Actually you had suggested that

daughter's and married sisters are not counted. I don't have daughter

(as I am not married) and cousin sisters are not married. Please advice.

[2] I have also got yellow kaudis. They were difficult to get and

expensive. Fortunately I got it. I was lucky. Kindly let me know how

to count the members of my extended in case of females. Also is it

safe to keep the remaining kaudis with me.

Sincerely,

Ravi Shankar Gautam

Dear Gautam,

[ 1 ] Yes you can count in the unmarried sisters.

[ 2 ] Extended family would include all your brothers and their

families. Married sisters may not be counted. If you want to include

the family of your father's brothers, you may.

If you have any extra kaudis, do not keep them with you. Burn them

also in the name of 'bhoole bisare'.

Sincerely,

Priya

Dear Guruji,

Yesterday I burnt all the yellow kaudis on a rock in the bank of

Ulhas river. It was difficult to burn them to ashes. I used 1 kg of

charcoal and 1 litre of kerosene oil. It took me more than seven

hours. The kaudis were approximately 1 inch in length. After almost

all the charcoal turned to ashes, only the outer layer of kaudis was

looking like ashes and there were cracks on it. It didn't break or

melt. Then I started burning them using only kerosene oil, but

nothing much happened. I then manually broken them into pieces using

a steel spoon that I carried with me to the place. Again I burnt

them using keorsene oil for more than half an hour.

At the end part of burning I found that unless I attend to nature's

call I will not be able to walk through the rocky shore. I attended

it on the other side of the rock. Then I took to the ashes with the

earthen pot and put them in the river and then put the earthen pot

also into the river. As required nobody passed in front of me till

the last.

Please let me know if the upaya was completed.

Sincerely,

Gautam

Dear Guruji,

I did the upaya of dropping of 121 paneer pieces in the lake.

[1] About the upaya of keeping Jau (Barley) covered in a black cloth

under the weight of a stone in dark corner, I am bit confused. In the

shop both Jau and Barley are available. Jau is actually barley with

cover. Which one should I use. Also I have only one room can I put it

a almirah's lowest self.

[2] About the upaya of immersing the Ghara in a lake. What can be the

size of Ghara. Actually I have to bring it from a long distance.

Also should I do these upayas in the day time. Or time like 7-9 p.m.

is okay.

I have one request. I want to suggest the url of this group few of my

friends who probably need your kind advice. While explaining my

problems I have actually stated many things about my personal life

which were probably not required. *Like affair with a girl (though she

seems to settled with some other guy) my childhood and other family

details. People may get biased opinion about me.

I will be gratefull to you if you can kindly delete from your messages

these details with which people can identify me with name and work

place, line with * etc. I have saved all the details with your replies

with me.

One of my friend Mr. Tiwari with DOB 31/1/1972 00.45 A.M. (in

midnight), Varanasi, is facing lot of problems in his PhD. Also he

doesn't seem to get cooperation from his wife Mrs P with DOB

20/03/1973, 11.35 A.M. Mumbai. Recently they have a daughter. Mrs P

(wife) actually requested me to contact you. Please suggest some upaya

and precautions they should take.

Sincerely,

Gautam

Dear Gautam,

[ 1 ] Jau is a food grain with husk { chhilka }intact. Therefore buy

the one with chhilka intact. Yes you can keep it in the shelf.

[ 2 ] Ghara can be of any size. You could have a small ghara also.

[ 3 ] The upaya have to be done during the day light hours i.e.

after the sunrise and before the sun set.

[ 4 ] Ask your friend to log in and seek advice. i do not answer

proxy queries i.e. queries asked on some body elses behalf. Yes you

can suggest your friends to log in and seek advice if they need.

Sincerely,

Priya

Dear Guruji,

I have done the upaya of dropping 121 paneer pieces (one by one) after

sunset around 8 p.m. day before yesterday. I was late after coming

from the department. Can I repeat it during the day time.

I have got 1 kg Jau(one with the cover intact) and black cloth I will

complete the upaya in the morning.

I will give the url of the group to my friends. They should ask for

the help by themselves.

Sincerely,

Gautam

Dear Guruji,

I am a bit apprehensive about kaudis that I burnt on the banks of

Ulhas river for the upaya of Pitr Rin. Actually everything happened as

adviced, except that I started burning them around 4 p.m. and the

process continued till 11 p.m. (that is, after sunset).

Kindly let me know if I can do some other upaya as compensation.

Sincerely

Dear Gautam,

If you feel apprehensive about the upaya whether it was done well or

not, in that case you can feed a goat sabut moong { whole moong and

not the split dal form} on three wednesdays in a row.

Dear Guruji,

Sorry for so many questions. This will be most probably last query.

Should I do the upaya of feeding goat because the upaya of burning

kaudi went till night. Because I do not have any apprehensions if Pitr

Rin upaya that I did (inspite of it getting till night) was okay.

I was only concerned because I had written you all the details of the

Pitr Rin upaya except for the timings.

Sincerely,

Gautam

Dear Gautam,

Since the kaudi upaya was started well before the sun set, the upaya

was done well. I had suggested feeding the goat because you had some

apprehensions about this upaya being completed well. Since you do

not have any such apprehension, you need not feed sabut moong to a

goat.

Sincerely,

Priya

Dear Guruji,

I am very much thankfull to you for your help. I have completed the

upaya of dropping 121 paneer pieces in a lake today at around 3 p.m..

I will be completing the upaya of immersing Ghara within two days (as

required bu the rules of doing next upaya after few days). The rule of

doing upaya in the day light is now deeply engraved in my mind. I will

never forget.

I don't know whether I am right or wrong in asking this question. Is

it possible to know whether my affair with girl I was saying was real

thing or an illusion.

Whenever I think by intellect and logic its seems the whole

circumstance was so artificially created. I had never ever gone after

any girl before. I never had any heart or courage. Now in this case

also there seems to be nothing real and I must come out of all

emotions and feelings.

On the other side, my asthma problem was cured from the time I first

came close to her. My luck used to turn around in favour of me. Even

the last time when I met her after around two years (she seemed to be

the same as ever) many of my problems (including accomodation problem)

got solved.

Every time I met her I was fully aware of the hard facts (that was

against our relationship. Also according to one of your files since

Venus is in 3rd house I should marry by parent's choice and

blessings). But still I used to get some justification to meet her. I

feel really sad to know that I should never even try to meet her. When

I see her with some other guy I really feel something very sad happens

to me.

If you have some time please tell me some upaya so that everything

becomes just fine.

Sincerely

Gautam

Dear Gautam,

You have Venus conjunct Mars. In such cases the feelings for love

are very intense. One also expects that the other person should also

reciprocate the feelings with the same intensity. In some cases when

the other person fails to respond with the same intensity, the

problem arises.

Your feelings were genuine and not an 'illusion'. In future you

might have intense feelings for some one, but do not expect the same

from the other person. If that happens the relationship might work

out beautifully.

Sincerely,

Priya
