There are a couple of things which those two astrologers probably chose not to mention. [ 2 ] Ketu in the lagna does at times create an urge for spiritual pursuit, but that is not real in your case and will not take you far enough for two reasons : [ a ] Ketu and Jupiter are placed in a 6-8 position, a position of hostility. Ketu has no benefic aspect either. [ b ] Venus is with mercury which makes it all the more drawn to earth worldly sensualities rather than a release into spirituality. [ 3 ] This is absolutely in correct to say that you have to marry in order to fulfill some spiritual needs. It might have been true in the tantrik tradition but not in your case. [ 4 ] You want to marry for your own needs. Even the second marriage may not likely to be successful contrary to what has been predicted by other astrologers in the group where your horoscope was discussed. Yes the second marriage might be successful if you do these three upaya : [ a ] Immerse, at the time of marriage, in a river a copper ghara filled with sabut moong, once. [ b ] The father of the bride should give you two pieces of silver at the time of kanyadaan with proper 'sankalp'. Of tthese two pieces , one should be immersed in a river just after the marriage, while keep the other wrapped in a yellow cloth for all times to come. Do not sell this piece ever. [ c ] Keep in your bed room a little rain water in a container with a square piece of silver immersed in the water. [ d ] Make sure you do not have an attached toilet to your bed room. Now I know I would need to put in a lot of efforts and also have more determination if I were to porgress spiritually. I would like to ask you a few questions just to understand my own horoscope better: (i) Venus is in a fire sign that's owned by Jupiter having an aspect on it. Wouldn't that make me not so materially inclined? Also degreewise, Mars doesn't have aspect on Venus. If it was having an aspect on venus, that would have made things worse for me. (ii) I understand after Ketu, Saturn is more important spiritually. Its placement in 4th, 8th and 12th is supposed to be good in that regard and since it's in 4th and in his own sign, wouldn't that be good? Also, Saturn has 10th aspect on Lagna and thereby on Ketu also. Is that good or bad spiritually? (iii) I hear Saturn-Moon relationship via conjuction or aspects, could be good spiritually. In my case, they are opposite each other (not degreewise though) and also moon(lord of the 9th house) is receiving an aspect from Jupiter. What's your view on that? However; [ 1 ] The second house is said to be owned by Venus { cardinal kundali} therefore it is very strong here. The desire for things sensual will be strong. Yes you may be able to control them, but it will require all the efforts from you. [ 2 ] Yes, saturn does give 'virakti', here in your case 'virakti' from the family { home}. But virakti does not neccessarily mean spirituality, it could also mean escape. escapism is not the same as spirituality. Saturn's aspect on the Ketu is likely to depress it and not sharpen it for spiritual intensity. [ 3 ] No. It might lead to thoughts like " is duniya mein kya rakkha hai, yeh sansar mithya hai....and so on " but such thoughts might give an urge for spirituality, but may not help you reach the heights required. [ 4 ] Ketu 4th in the chandra kundali indicates closeness to the mother, not willing to leave the homeland etc. Now your queries : [ a ] It is not just venus and merc in the 2nd, sun joins them too after bhav-spashtha { chalit kundali}. The Lal Kitab says that this combination is not very conducive for marriage whether the first or the second. [ b ] The silver pieces have to be given to the bride by her father at the time of 'kanyadaan'. the sankalp to the effect that he is giving these pieces to his daughter, will be said by the pundit. Finally, For growing spiritually : you should keep your ketu strong by worshipping Lord Ganesh, feeding stray dogs and applying haldi tilak between your eyebrows and the ear lobes. Do you suggest any particular Mantra or ritual to worship Lord Ganesh for spiritual growth? Regarding [1], I have been fortunate enough not to fall prey to any temptations so far. In fact, I feel like I'm being protected in that regard. It's been many years since I've been on my own and yet didn't consider getting remarried or getting into a relationship. The idea has been that I would hopefully do better spiritually as a single person. Since you told me second marriage is not inevitable and also not likely to succeed unlike some other astrologers, do you see that it would be better that I continue this journey on my own? Regarding [a], you stated that Sun, Venus and Mercury combination is not good. I would really like you to tell me what that implies in terms of issues. The idea is to appease him and in turn appease and strengthen your ketu. [ 2 ] The second marriage will succeed if you do those two upaya I had suggested [a] immersing a copper ghara filled with sabut moong and [ b ] taking two silver pieces at the time of kanyadaan; immersing one and keeping the other immersed in either ganga jal or rain water. [ 3 ] The copper ghara filled with sabut moong to be immersed just after the marriage on any day. [ 4 ] Since the 5th lord jupiter is placed in the 6th , it will not be advisable to go in for any kind of speculation till such time your jupiter is strengthened. Therefore if you intend to go for speculation you should water a Peepal tree every Thursday and when ever you got to a temple offer a handful of chana dal there. You should recite the stotra for jupiter as many times a day as you can. Get the text and the audio for the stotra from the files. [ 5 ] i am not aware of any upaya which could help you recover the losses. Any external help to supress venus could be very temporary in nature. The best thing would be to excercise self control. It is the self control which would give you long lasting spiritual results. Spiritual results drawn through unnaturally supressing Venus may not be long lsting. [ 2 ] Apart from Ketu, it is the jupiter which has to be taken care of. It is placed in the 6th house { paatal ...down under }. It is to be retrieved from the depths of darkness. Therefore, try to find a Peepal sapling growing within the compound of either a hospital or judicial courts. Get such a sapling transplanted to a temple. This will retrieve your Jupiter from the 6th house. Till such time you locate a Peepal sapling, you could recite the stotra for Jupiter. get the text and the audio { my voice } from the files. [ 3 ] You can start worshipping Lord Ganesh from any day convenient. [ 4 ] After this month, jupiter reaches scorpio, your lagna, where it will have an aspect over your 7th house.
