Dear Kondal Ji,

Pranam.

 

I have read your suggestion/posting on mandir in the house with

great interest.

I have a question.

If we keep framed pictures of Bhagwan or small murtis - is it still

considered a temple in the house?

What kind of pictures or murtis is ok to keep inside the house for

praying everyday? Is there any Bhagwan murty/picture never to be kept

in the house in general?

dear anju ji

thank u very much for giving a careful and thoughtful

reading to the topic.

the thing which u have asked that are framed pictures

ok in house? answer is yes pictures and calenders are

allowed but u have to take great precaution because in

most of the cases i have seen myself that pictures

either those r framed or calenders they have dust on

them.do u know how much bad thing is this.it is the

worst thing.and height of negligeance.so i meant to

say that keep on cleaning them.and

there should be no big idols in home

what i have read in shaastars that big idols and

murtis are meant to be in devalayas or mandirs

in general all can have idols according to the height

of the thumb of hand not more than that.

and if photos get torn or are damaged immerse them in

river along with the dhoop agarbati ashes

u know mostly what all people do they throw the ashes

with

garbage which is again very very bad for the person

himself and the entire family also.

either this ash should be thrown in river or can be

put to some temple where peeple tree is there u can

put this ash under that tree which will help u a lot.

u should not have picture of lord krishna giving

updesh to arjun in battlefield

and the natraaj one i think lord is doing taandav

that is also forbidden.

and narsingh in which he is killing harnakshap in

general pictures givining good message are to be kept

and not horrifying.

house is meant to take rest and do abhayaas or

pranayaam and remembering god by meditation

for prayers u have to go to temple and do your prayer

individually as well as collectively

i think baadal wahi par zyada barastae hain jahan

trees aur vanaspati zyadda ho

like the same way jahan zyada log collectively

bhagwaan ko yaad karte hain un ki kripa drishti bhi

jaldi wahi hi jaati hai

issi liyae to hamarae samaj mein satsang ko uncha

sthaan prapat hai
