Guest guest
Punit ji If it meets with your approval I would like to suggest that you please implement Pervez's suggestion i.e. membership of the group maybe made conditional on providing proof of identity to you as group owner both by existing members as well as new applicants. Time it was found out who is who. Regards R S
Guest guest
Rakesh ji, Parvez bhai has given some very good suggestions and member identification is one of them. But I am not very sure how feasible it is and how to implement it. I request members to come if with suggestions - technical and functional. Guest guest
Punit My thoughts for debate, tear them apart if need be: Identification ++++++++++++++ 1. All members/applicants send you their telephonic contact details. 2. If you wish do to do it yourself , do it yourself else ask four members in the four regions to assist in verifying the details- all that is required is one phone call. Remedies ++++++++ 1. Roster of experts be created. 2. Only those who are found to be competent be included in it. Who decides? Our existing experts. Will they be unbiased and objective? We have to trust them. 3. Rotational method be employed for allocating horos of those seeking help to the experts. 4. Fees of Rs. 51/- or Rs. 101- be charged. Amount must be very nominal. Any corpus so created goes to organising Seminars. As Kulbir had suggested earlier on, a non profit body be organised to take on these activities. Whether we like it or not(This is not a comment about you Punit but my considered opinion), if this group is to evolve into a cohesive body that promotes LK we will have to go offline with our activities. LIKE I SAID IN THE VERY BEGINING TEAR EACH AND EVERY WORD I HAVE WRITTEN HERE TO SHREDS IF NEED BE BUT SORT THIS ONE OUT. OTHERWISE ALLOW ME TO ASSURE YOU THIS GROUP WILL LOSE THE MOMENTUM THAT HAS BEEN GENERTAED EVER SINCE IT CAME INTO EXISTENCE. Guest guest
Punitji, Rakeshji has written well. He says … Quote LIKE I SAID IN THE VERY BEGINING TEAR EACH AND EVERY WORD I HAVE WRITTEN HERE TO SHREDS IF NEED BE BUT SORT THIS ONE OUT. OTHERWISE ALLOW ME TO ASSURE YOU THIS GROUP WILL LOSE THE MOMENTUM THAT HAS BEEN GENERTAED EVER SINCE IT CAME INTO EXISTENCE. Unquote Definitely the group shall loose momentum. It is high time that rules be framed and then strictly adhered to. Guiding principle in framing rules can be: Group roster of experts should offer remedies to needful ones … but in installment so as the forum gets the response on the efficacy of the remedy. This is sorely missed and must not be ignored. Serious discussions on the mysteries of LK must flourish. Decoding LK is a task and … please pardon me for saying so … even our best gurus are not conversant with all aspects of LK. Jointly we shall all learn. Rakesh’s idea of having regional or city based … LK forum representatives … for personal verification of each member is a good idea and easy to implement. There are few groups who do this … let us discourage the non-serious. bye Sheikh Pervez Hameed rakeshsahgal [rakeshsahgal] 17 October 2004 10:04 lalkitab [lalkitab] Re: Request to Punit Punit My thoughts for debate, tear them apart if need be: Identification ++++++++++++++ 1. Guest guest
Rakesh ji/ Parvez ji and other members, There is no need to worry. Controversies are part of forums and it has not happened first time. I am moderating several forums and few are much bigger than the size of this forum. I have seen myself being attacked in several forums and I found that discussions are the best methods of resolving such controversies. And it is what I tried to do here this time too. All people you are talking are matured one and can understand the scene very well. During the whole discussion process, some suggestions are churned out and we will try to implement them and learn from the mistakes. I request members, if they find something incorrect form my side, please do not hesitate to remind me my mistakes. Also members can write emails directly to my personal email id, in case they want to tell me something personally. Guest guest
Kulbir ji, No doubt it is an excellent idea. There are more than 4,000 messages lying in the archive of the forum so it will take a little time.
