Guest guest
Dear friends, I didn't want to intervene but had to so that a few things about the Seminar are clarified. [ 1 ] There were about TEN members of the forum in the seminar. Of these , mr kulbir , mr prabhakar , mr khattar , mr shukla and mr umesh were at the dias. Mr bhalla and mr laxmikant vashishtha too were at the dais but they are not regular participants in the group. In the audience sat mr sehgal , mr parvez ,mr vivek soni and me. I believe bhuwan vashishtha was there too . There were about 10 other persons who were studying Vedic astrology at a school in Delhi and had come to the seminar out of curiosity for Lal Kitab and had no participation in discussions. Another 10 people , including mr. Goyal of k.k.goyal & co were there too , as a part organizers. Amongst these mr umesh is the only person who had a book on varsh phal to his credit. [ a ] Of those at the dais , Mr bhalla said that he is from Vedic astrology and doesn't have much to contribute. Mr laxmikant vashishta said that he has translated the book alright but doesn't know much about the LK. Mr kulbir and mr khattar claimed that they are still learners. Mr prabhakar did say that he has been into LK for quite some time. Mr shukla and mr umesh are professional astrologers and were the only two people who could claim to know the book well. Isn't it strange that an All India conference on LK is being organized and we had only two people to show? [ b ] Except for mr rajinder bhatia's paper on foreign birth , no other paper was presented. Have you heard of any National Seminar on any topic where neither papers are presented nor proceedings brought out ? Nothing of the sort could be done because the seminar wasn't structured as an opportunity for academic interaction. Then what was it held for? [ c ] So much has been talked about the ` teve ki durusti' . Telling that if you have a planet in a certain house you would have a green bottle in your house or your taps would be leaking or you can't save enough money or you don't get what you want or you might have so many children ; at times the questioner looks impressed and the other aghast in disbelief. Is this the purpose of the whole exercise ? [ 2 ] Not a single Lal Kitab scholar of repute from Delhi or around was invited. Scholars like BM Sekhari , the person who had learned the LK from Pt roopchand ji and he is the first person who wrote in Hindi on the LK. These books are published in six small volumes. Mr Umesh has acknowledged him in his book on varsh phal. Pt. Krishna Ashant or his son , both LK scholars. We may or may not agree with their approach but they are scholars in their own right. Pt. Suresh sharma , a scholar of repute ; he has written a book on Saturn , the best ever book on LK I have ever read. Dr Radheyshyam mishra , a professor at the Delhi college of engineering , an LK scholar who has written a couple of books too. Pt. Dhanvantri , another scholar who has written a very authentic book on LK. Dr umesh puri of meerut who has written a well known gyaneshwari tika of LK. I talked to some of these scholars and they told me that they didn't know any thing about this All India Seminar on the LK. Apart from these well known and reputed scholars in and around Delhi , there are a few others who could have been invited . [ a ] Had these scholars been invited who could have gained and who could have been dwarfed ? [ b ] By keeping these scholars out , wasn't the academic aspect of the seminar lost altogether? [ c ] If the interest in organizing this seminar wasn't academic , then what could it have been? [ d ] Who stood to gain , how and at whose cost ? I didn't mean to hurt any body. These are my honest observations , you might not agree with them. sincerely, priya
Guest guest
Sir, I am fully agreed on your thoughts about the seminar. When I listening to the persons who are LK experts, there was definitely something wrong about the whole affairs and something was missing in the seminar. I saw only Sh.Bhalla/Vedic Astrologer, a humble person on the dias.
