I mean is there any method for finding muhurta based on Lal Kitab? Guest guest Posted July 29, 2004 Report Share Posted July 29, 2004 Punit Jee, Muhurats are not mentioned in LalKitab except the fourth, the ninth and the fourteenth lunar dates are not recommended for starting any new venture. But it does NOT imply that you can't/shouldn't do upayas on these dates. I don't want to start a new cause of "vaham" in the group. However, it is advisable to use muhurat for marriage, laying the foundation stone of a house etc. and things of such importance. You have to ensure that all the conditions for its exalted state are met. Additionally, all the conditions which may cause its effect to be malefic, must not be met. Taking sugar with water before leaving home helps if Sun is not malefic (in 6th or 7th). Honey can be dangerous if Mars and or Saturn are badly posited. One is forewarned not to start a "nayaa kaam" on these dates. I agree with you that a 43-day upaya probably should not be started on these dates (if possible.) But if it is urgent, I'd go ahead and do it. It is specifically stated that "mangal budh kee koyee shart naheen" while carrying out an upaya unless the book states that an upaya is to be done on a specified day. Sun, Venus and Mercury are together in 7th, also Guru and Rahu together in 9th, Moon in 4th, and ketu in 3rd house.
