Dear Bhatiaji

My doubts are as follows:

1.Receiving gift and using gift are two different things. By just receiving the gift, Will one suffer? or he suffers if he uses that gift.

2.What about the gift we receive during marriage or birthday or aniversarries. Specially on birthday normally trend is to give gift and not the cash.Similerly at aniversarries.

3.When gift is received by the couples in marriage, the possibilities are there that one may have dbl planet and other may have exalted planet. In that case the same gift is bad for one and good for other. Will it have bad impact on spouse having dbl planet? Should they accept that gift or should they pass it over to others??

Kindly throw light on the above doubts.

Regards

Insofar as I could make out of what Bhatia Sahib said, if the gift is

inimical to you dont partake of it/consume it/use it, just pass it on.

However the further questions you raise are very pertinent and need

deliberation by wiser minds. The reason why I am belaboring this is,

that if we aspire to follow this system, then we have to see to what

extent is it possible/practical for us to make our lives comply with

it's tenets.

Respected Vinod jee,

[ 1 ] If you happen to get a gift , which you possibly could not

refuse, instead of passing it on to some one else the best thing is to

gift it to a temple. At least you are then absolved of the sin to

have passed on the thing to some one else who might be harmed. When

you gift it in a temple , you are not passing it on to any

individual , hence there is no intention to harm any one. The mere

act of receiving a gift doesnot effect you till such time that you

use it.

[ 2 ] In the Lal Kitab , there is a specific mention of gifts

received at the time of the marriage. Such gifts , so the book says ,

do not effect you , irrespective of your planetary placements either

in the janma kundali or the varsh phal kundali. But getting gifts

after the marriage from the in-laws { sasural } , in certain cases ,

are prohibited. As regards for the other occasions, like birthdays or

anniversaries , there is no reference in the book. When the book was

written such occasions were not quite popular . I assume , and may be

wrong , that these occasions too should be treated like the occasion

of marriage and hence should not carry any prohibition. It appears

that special occasions are exempted.

[ 3 ] Since the gifts received at the time of marriage are exempted ,

the debilitated planets or not , it shouldn't concern either of the

two.

with regards to all the gurujan,

bhuwan

Dear Vinod Jee Respected Bhuvan Jee,

Most humbly, without trying to offend anyone, I wish to present my views on this topic. My comments are based on various past discussions with numerous LalKitab scholars. My comments are embedded in the mail message below in bold letters and enclosed in { }.

Respectfully,

{Agreed 200% (have done that many times) -- pass the gift on to the temple. But what do I do when somebody brings a bottle of wine/whiskey as a gift? I can't take that to the temple. As far as keeping the gift at home is concerned (but not using it), you have established (qaayam kar liyaa hai) the article/gift in your home. Whether you use it or not, it is going to show its effect(benefic or malefic) - this is the most fundadamental "theorem" of LalKitab.}[ 2 ] In the Lal Kitab , there is a specific mention of gifts received at the time of the marriage. {Most definitely! the daughter with malefic Rahu should not take any electric appliances from her parents AFTER her marriage. If she does, she must make a token payment for that to her parents.} As regards for the other occasions, like birthdays or anniversaries , there is no reference in the book. When the book was written such occasions were not quite popular . I most humbly request you to quote the chapter/page/edition where it is so stated for the benefit of all. ("Such gifts , so the book says , do not effect you , irrespective of your planetary placements either in the janma kundali or the varsh phal

kundali.")}

{Addressed above}

2.What about the gift we receive during marriage or birthday or aniversarries. Specially on birthday normally trend is to give gift and not the cash.Similerly at aniversarries. There is no exemption. You've established the "ashiyaa" of a planet at your home.

The benefic and malefic planets give their effect based on the husband's horoscope.} Kindly throw light on the above doubts. Regards Vinod Kumar Delhi
