Guest guest
One of the rules of Lal Kitab as I have understood it - is not to give away in alms things representative of planets which are benefic for one and vice versa for things Malefic i.e. not to recieve them in alms from anyone. In the context of our lifestyles as they have evolved today, what is the differentiating line between Alms and Gifts? How does one exercise due caution WRT items benefic/malefic for us? I hope some of the experts will share their thoughts with the group. Thanks in advance. Regards R S
Guest guest
Dear Rakesh Sahgal Ji According to my little knowledge of lalkitab,we should not accept gifts of malefic planets in our horoscope ..for example, rahu in 7th house...one should not take electrical appliances as gift especially from in-laws. one should not give gift of item related to benefic planet..like on should not gift alcohol ( wine/whisky ) when sat in 7th house. Comments from others are welcome. Guest guest
Rajeev Jee,Very well said. However, in the context that Mr Sehagal has asked, I think we should be careful regarding what we accept and what we give as gifts (although received gifts are almost never under one's control.) Strangely enough though when one has, as an example, debilitated Moon then one receives silver coins or small silver jewelery as gift items. Malefic Saturn may cause someone to receive a bottle of liquor. What to do then? I, for example, immediately pass the gift on to someone else who can use (and needs) the whiskey better than me. Similarly, the safe gift giving policy I have adopted over the years is to give cash (or Gift Certificates) wherever possible. Although giving away alcohol may be better for me but then what about the receiver. May be it's not good for him/her to receive a Saturnine article. Why make someone else play on a sticky wicket?
