Guest guest
Hi Kulbir, When you made your grand entrance here and stirred up a hornet's nest, :-) , you had referred to the 35 saala chakkar. Even though I do not understand it's significance at the present time, my reading of the text(G & V) on this has led me to the following understanding: Commencement of the 35 saal chakkar =================================== It is stated pretty explicitly that this can commence: [a] either at birth if Jup is the first planet {about this there is no ambiguity}, or if Jup is not the first planet, then when the person in question reaches the age of 7 and the starting planet is " ?? " . The answer to " ?? " seems to be JUPITER? G & V say on pg 77 and I quote verbatim " .........., but it is also possible that the first planet could be say Saturn(instead of Jupiter) then period of Jupiter would start from the 7th year instead of starting from the birthday. " The inference therefore that one can draw from the above, on the basis of language used and I repeat ONLY on the basis of language used (no astrological vidwaan here writing this) is - the starting planet shall be Jup at all times and the time of commencement is a variable and a function of the first planet BUT NOT THE ORDER OF THE PLANETS IN the 35 saala chakkar . OTOH it could well be, my ignorance is showing when I attempt to understand a contentious issue as this at the present stage of my learning curve. Look forward to the opinions and comments of the learned members. Regards R S
