Dear Anoo,

 

You could start worshipping it any day. There is no harm if a bit of

stem is there.As regards the elephant, yes you could wash it with

milk. Just one thing Anoo, don't expect these upaya to do miracles ,

the effects are slow at times , therefore don't get disheartened.
