Respected Sureshji,

In how many days time should we redo the cawries upaya.Should

cawries completely burn to ashes ie not even a trace of the cawrie

should be left unburnt.Since 28 number of cawries are very difficult

to be burnt is it ok if we use only 5 cawries for us .Can we use

ghee, cotton to assist in burning the cawries.Further how far should

we be from water for burning water. Can we burn cawries at one corner

& then take the ash near the water. Can We use kapoor for burning

cawries. Is there any harm as cawries were thrown in water when they

were not fully burnt to ashes.

Thank you

Regards

Anoo

Dear Anoo,

[ 1 ] Do the upaya whenever suits you, but it would be better if it

is done on a wednesday.

[ 2 ] You can use any material to burn them, but not the ghee or

kapoor, use carosene oil.

[ 3 ] The number depends on you, I would suggest that you count your

family, and your uncle's family too.

[ 4 ] Yes the cawries should be burnt entirely.

[ 5 ] It should be burnt near the coast, and ofcourse no body should

cross between the place where you burn and the water.

sincerely,

upadhyay
