Friends,

I obtained my first LalKitab (1952 edition) during Jup-Mars-Jup-Mars period. No Rahu here. A very learned astrologer told me that LalKitab is related to Mars and he, before even doing the analysis of my chart, "predicted" that when I obtained the book, Mars must have been the dominant dasa and, to some extent, it was.

However, I must admit that when I first heard of LalKitab, I was running the Rahu mahadasha BUT so did about 75 other students in my class when Prof Onkar Nath Ji, our Professor of English (subsequently Principal and Head of the PostGraduate English Dept at S.D. College Ambala Cantt) devoted a substantial chunk of time to astrology during a particluar week. At least three other classmates follow the LalKitab and that is one of the threads that still has us connected even forty years later. I don't know what Dasha they were running at that time but it is not hard to find out and I may do that, time permitting.

I will most definitely address the issue of "confusion" caused by the "experts" featured in Future Point magazine when I have the time. Unlike some other folks, Jyotish is not how I feed my family; I have my work related deadlines and obligations and those take precedence over everything. Incidentally, I have some other "diseases" besides LalKitab and I try to devote equal time to those.

Best regards.

Respectfully,

Rajinder Bhatia

CORRECTION

===========

Friends,

Sorry, Mr Alpesh Patel, just called me and pointed out the following sentence in my note that was sent out out a little while back:

I had written:

"However, I must admit that when I first heard of LalKitab, I was running the Rahu mahadasha BUT so did about 75 other students in my class......"

This implies that all other classmates were also running Rahu mahadasha. That is not what I wanted to convey. Let me restate:

===== However, I must admit that when I first heard of LalKitab, I was running the Rahu mahadasha. There were (approximately) 75 other students in my class who also heard about it, at the same time. All of us couldn't have been running the Rahu dasha.

=====

Let me also add this. Prof Onkar Nath ji, in my opinion, is an authority on LalKitab. He is now retired and lives at Ambala Cantt. I don't have his address but if you can locate him (should not be hard; he does not live far from Sanatan Dharam temple) he may prove to be a fantastic resource on LalKitab.

Regards.

Respectfully,

Rajinder Bhatia
