Guest guest
Dear friends, I am quoting an astrologer who has put it so beautifully that why people should not plagiaries jyotish books or for that matter any book. I think books copyright is over after 50 years in India(though Tagore's Gitanjali has been given a longer copyright by govt.order)but people have been reprinting Lal Kitab since at least 1992,may be before that also without paying any copyright to the family of Pandit Roop Chand Ji. This is consistent with my last mail. With regards, Jagmeet P.S.Astrology for me is for my spiritual growth. I have no axe to grind with critics of Lal Kitab author, family of the original author of Lal Kitab or with those who use jyotish for making a living. Please do what you have to but let us not cast aspirations on anyone and let us be thankful to those who are willing to share whatever they have. "I have seen people blatantly and shamelessly plagiarising and distributing copies of the writings of Dr Raman and know that this would have started behind my back regarding my books as well. In fact the recent distribution of Santanam's books in the internet has saddened me so much. I hope these people realise that we astrologers do not have the resources to enforce copyrights and normally keep quiet leaving it to destiny and the wheel of karma. Although I think neither Niranjan Babu (Dr Ramans heir) nor the times of Astrology (Santanam's heir) are aware of this and if they do get to know, I think they will at best shed a tear..what else can they do. And think of Santanam...a whole life spent on this Jyotish, translating books for the welfare of the community and people, and the only gift/property that he had for his children was these books...every father wishes to leave something for his children. What else can a poor astrologer give to his children?" (Underlines are by me)
