Dear Dr Gopal Sharma,

Your EMail is quite interesting. However, your case confirms what I have been saying in my posts all along. And that is, Lal Kitab is not a multi-vitamin tablet that any one can dispense and hope (even though some practitioners of Lal Kitab "assure") that the results will be positive.

Your experience with the palmist is not a unique one. I have known of people, and at times really knowledgeable people, who have suggested wrong remedial measures or, became slightly careless and the upayas backfired. The 1952 edition of Lal Kitab, even before the name Lal Kitab is mentioned, says on its title page "duniyaavee hisaab kitaab hai, koyee daawaa-e--khudaayee naheen." Nor does it claim that the upayas are infallible. In certain cases, the upayas won't work because certain planetary debilitation can't be "fixed" by us ordinary mortal beings. Nor does LalKitab state that "the upaya will break the leg of the tiger that is trying to attack you." All it says is that by the help of this "mazmoon" (subject) a "gaibee" (unseen) wall will be created, the tiger will come and attack you (if you are so destined) but the unseen wall will prevent harm to you and eventually, the tiger will be tired and go away. Case in point. I had combinations of afflicated Mercury and Rahu in my "varshaphal" and it foretold a severe auto accident. I performed the suggested upayas. The accident DID take place and it was a serious accident. However, miraculously, neither I, nor my car suffered any injury at all. So, the palmist may have made a mistake. Incidentally, the upayas you have mentioned (suggested by the palmist) are really not the standard Lal Kitab upayas. Lots of people have made their own modifications which may or may not work or may cause adverse effects (as it unfortunately happened in your case.)

The second point that you've raised about the lagna changing approximately every two hours and therefore, in general, people born within that period will have the same horoscope. True. Now the classical Vedic astrology goes into many mathematical details - Navansh can be somewhat different; the dashas are going to be different and all the other charts are going to be different. Lal Kitab however, goes no further than the Janma Kudali. No regards to the degree of the planets, no regard to retrogression, nothing. Even constellation is ignored. So how do you distinguish between the two identical horoscopes? Here is where the envioronmental factors come in. Here is where the parental factors influence the horoscope. Well for one, Lal Kitab is "Palmistry based on Astrology." Take a look at the horoscope of twins. If they are five to ten minutes apart ( and with C-Section birth, they'd be perhaps a minute apart) how are you going to distinguish between the two horoscopes? However, if you take a look at the palms of the twins, you will ALWAYS see the lines of their hands to be different. So, their very individual "khazana of qismat" is in their hands.

Let me relate this true case. When my son was born in a hospital, just within three minutes, two other boys were born in the adjoining delivery rooms. And, I being interested in astrology, made a note of it. One of those boys, I still know because he is from our neighborhood. Both my son and this other boy went to the same school and both are now in college. Both the boys are quite tall and well built. Both love playing soccer (were together in the same team and I was the coach) and love sports. Both are soft spoken and very well behaved. However, my wife and I are vegetarians and don't take any alcohol at all. The other boy's parents drink probably on daily basis (nothing wrong, it is a part of their culture), eat meat, this is the second marriage for both of them. They are quite wealthy ( we are not.) My son is majoring in finance while the other boy is an engineering major. Horoscopes are similar!!! Both their Sun is in the twelfth house. So Engineering is not going to be a good line for the other boy and this is going to debilitate his Sun. So you apply the description of Sun differently when judging these horoscopes. One being somewhat debilitated while the other might be in somewhat "naik haalat." Another very interesting thing. Our house has a large sized lawn. They converted their lawn into a swimming pool and a store room (to keep the Swimming pool related things) just about the time the kids were deciding to pick their majors. (See details regarding the lawn of the house in Sun 12). Now does that "change" the nature of Sun; I don't have a definite answer for that but it seems to be so, as far as I can tell.

You can see that the environment plays a big part and you as the LalKitab practiotioner have to judge which factors are influencing a particular planet in a horoscope. Sometimes you can extend the reasoning (without being unreasonable.) Pt Som Dutt Joshi was recently telling me that he was looking at someone's horoscope and the combinations suggested that the native's ancestors in the past would be killing (hunting) small sparrows and birds and the coming generations would thus be undone as a result (no male issues etc.) The native agreed that his father and grandfather were big bird hunters as they loved "shikar" but this person himself (the native, the tewewala) was not doing badly at all - was blessed with sons etc. Pandit ji was in a fix. So he decided to go against what he saw in the LalKitab and instead asked this person "Kyaa aap birds kee sewa kartay hain? Kya ghar mein koyee birds paalay huvey hain?Yes" came the reply. He loved the birds and rather than hunting, he was a bird lover; would feed the birds and had a few small exotic sparrows as his pets." Despite the "grahachaal" and the "verification", the "phalaadesh" differed and, for a reason. This person, unbeknown to his own self, changed his "destiny."

LalKitab can be frustrating at times. But if applied properly, it can really do wonders. With experience, you will gain insight into its working.

Best regards.

Respectfully,

dear friends,i am practising hindu astrology for more tha two decades.OF COURSE lal kitab is latest passion to me.i shall like to share an experiencein a positive frame of mind- as i remember about eight years back i got a chance to consult a palmist[never used to charge any thing] in new delhi ; a muslim gentelman ;in govt service ;used to provide advice on thursdays.

.....

till now i am not sure whether i got helped or harmed as i had to leave that city ultimately after about six months for my desired city though i had lot of problems in getting that .as now after reading lal kitab versions i came to assume that PERHAPS he was well versed in lal kitab palmistry.

WITH NO OFFENCE INTENDED TO ANY SOUL OR FAITH, AND keeping apositive attitude and willingness to learn i express as to my understanding by removing raashi numbers from horoscope to make it compatible with lal kitab principles -one variable of randomness has been removed and if moon and other fast moving planets eg mercury ,mars are not in limits of changing signs with in a day or two the horoscope of natives born in same ascd[appx two hour range] can remain same for two to three days

.....with above things in mind we must explore the mystery of lal kitab in an open and logical ,replicable way so that the essence is not lost and also the seekers are helped.this is the way i think will take us in right direction and followers of lal kitab -practitioners and guidance seekers shall not be looked down in an ocean of vedic astrology. let som body come out and take pains to guide those interested in this devic science and as we all are aware there are more than many who are practising this knowledge gor decades;and i wonder ARENT' THERE SOME REMEDIES WHICH WORK NICELY WITOUT CAUSING SIDE EFFECTS? sorry for such a long post. thankswith regards.dr gopal sharma.
