Guest guest
dear friends, thanks sh. bhatia and sh pandey for your kind responses. as a student of astrology i must admit that after reading a few versions i am more confused about the subject matter. so ;where we go from this point? even in the past meessages of the group i have not seen any serious discussion on basic fundas of lal kitab astrology. i hope some senior and learned member shall take pains in this direction.as it wii provide momentum for members in sharing their experiences with this system of astrology. my experience is that for a new reader;without proper hints ;it is not very difficult to get confused and lost in the text matter. as regards having a authentic and correct version of book; the matter still remains unsolved ,as sh.bhatia has kindly taken TIME TO DISCUSS present the scenario in market. atleast we should agree on one source for meaningful discussion on the group. the versions avalaible as photocopies in market of need the original mnuscript to coorect the missing words or one can just take a wild guess, such poor is the representation. its very strange that such a popular book is stiinot available in modern print options and versions available add to confusion; thus paving way for quacks to practice the lalkitab in their on whimsical way .WHY SHOULD THIS KNOWLEDGE BE A SECRET? why nobody comes forward to discuss the basic system for benefit of lovers of this book. there are enough beleivers of astrology in the world .each professional can get more than he or she can handle.why to keep a good thing secret or in mystery? its very heartening to know that grandson of the honourable author has shown interst in the group and astrology in particular.hope the matter takes a right turn now with active interst of learned, senior members of this group.hope the subject is not allowed to become history and society in general is benefitted by practiners of lal kitab astrology. for the begining i request any learned member to kindly start from basics or with remedies which can be used in general so that the things dont get dull and monotonus. thanks for bearing with me. with regards. p.s. lalkitab , Punit Pandey <pandeypunit> wrote: > Hello Friends, > > It is great that I received response from Mr. Bhatia. > I hope that I will get more responses from other > learned/learning astrologers of this group. Guest guest
My Fellow LalKitabists, I just coined this term, " LalKitabist " , I hope nobody feels offended. First of all let me categorically state that the reviews that I had reproduced were not written by me but are taken from a magazine. The points raised by Mr Pandey and " P.S. " are very valid. The whole scenario of LalKitab resources is very confusing. I guess, a lot of practitioners are out there to make a quick buck and want to have complete monopoly over the LalKitab knowledge (whatever little they have) and that is the cause of a dirth of advanced or intermediate type resource material on LalKitab. As I have mentioned before, many of us have been pleading with Pt Som Dutt Joshi to prepare some material for publication. He has started putting his notes together for a book titled " Rahnuma -e- Lal Kitab " ( A Guide to Lal Kitab.) However, he writes in Urdu (although he is a B.A,;B.T. and a retired officer from Punjab Land Revenue Department.) So the book will have to be transliterated and translated into Hindi when it is ready. As to when it wil be ready is anybody's guess. I have also been requesting him to release for publication, the already published material, preferably in Hindi. Let us see what gets done about that. There have been requests about " road map " to LalKitab methodology. Can you please elaborate as to what you mean by this? Please give us an example of what do you expect in it? We can then look for Pt Som Dutt's guidance and see what he suggests. One of the problems, based on my experience, is that the would-be- LalKitabists rush to the phalaadesh part and pay absolutely no attention to the begining part of LalKitab, the part which discusses the special way of full and partial aspects, lordship of houses (which incidentally is somewhat different from the traditional astrology), " graha phal " and " rashi phal " considerations etc., to name a few. That is the part one needs to read, re-read and re-read. Pt Roop Chand has warned that LalKitab is a complex system but at the same time, he has very explicitly stated that " ..if you read this book again and again even without understanding, or like a novel, gradually it will unfold before you... " And he was so right. Every time you read it, you will uncover something new. Now, the million dollar question arises - where do you get the genuine, original Lal Kitabs. Well, we look to the Joshi family for an answer. Another observation based on my very limited knowledge is, DON'T perform an upaya unless you specifically verify the need for it. I have heard of people performing upayas for all the nine planets. That is WRONG!!! This is a tendency that you have to watch out against; and I see a lot of it. So, to state the guidelines: (1) Read and re-read the material and the " grammar " portion again, again and again and then again. (2) Be very selective about doing/suggesting any upaya. This is not a candy or a miThaai (sweet, dessert) that you can casually have/distribute. In the meantime, I think Pt Krishan Ashant's book " Lal Kitab Jyotish - prishthbhoomee aur vyakhya " is a reasonably well written book as long as you ignore his false propaganda against Pt Roop Chand ji. As far as the remedial measures are concerned, take those with a grain of salt. Or, maybe, we can discuss them on planet by planet basis and cancel out the one's that are non-standard. As recommended by the reviewer, don't waste your money on his " Lagna Darshan " books; these are utterly useless books as far as LalKitab knowledge is concerned. As always, I look forward to your comments. Best wishes, Respectfully, Rajinder Bhatia
