Guest guest
For everyone using an Apple and the Code Weavers' program " CrossOver " to run JH and are upgrading to Snow Leopard - this is for you. You must install an extra package called " XII " from the Snow Leopard installation disk or CrossOver won't work. After you install it, reboot, run CrossOver and if it doesn't let you in, just quit out and open again. Then it works great as always. Blessings to all, Julli

Guest guest
I'm glad that works for you - I didn't want Windows on my computer as I didn't want to have all the firewalls and anti-virus protections that are required. Incidentally, CrossOver just let me know that they have a new version, CrossOver 8, which is compatible with Snow Leopard. On Aug 31, 2009, at 12:18 PM, Sharat Misra wrote: Hi Thanks for this. Guest guest
Dear Sharat, Crossover is great at simulating and does not require you to reboot as in boot camp. Someone I know was using parallels until I suggested Crossover. Works seamlessly! Juli, I thought Crossover 8 is mainly for games? Guest guest
No - the "Pro" versions are for games. The regular one is for regular programs. Guest guest
Dear Swee,I have been using parallels seamlessly as well, doesnt require booting at all. I just click the icon on my macbook desktop and windows desktop comes on. I guess it uses memory and disc space but I have lots to spare so I dont mind.I have now installed Crosover 8 and it works too. In fact now the Win XP on parallels is running using Crossover as well. I dont really use Win XP for anything else.My issue at this time using Crossover 8 is that it doesnt show me the Jhoa icon, and i have to go everytime in the root folder to actually run it.I am planning to use Jyoti Star to use Muhuratha , have you used that on Crossover?RegardsSharatOn 31 Aug 2009, at 19:53, Swee Chan wrote: Dear Sharat, Crossover is great at simulating and does not require you to reboot as in boot camp. Guest guest
Dear Sharat, Drag your JHora icon into the dock. You can load as many windows programs and run them under crossover. Right click… Version 6 of crossover was the most user friendly with JHora. I have an issue with Shri Jyoti Star and the reason why I have a laptop running it with Vista since I have had the program for 2 years and found it frustrating to use Boot Camp which is NOT really what I’d like to do.
