Guest guest
I just started learning Vedic Astrology and using Jagannatha Hora software. Can anyone point me as to how using this software: * How I can find exalted planets in a chart? * How to find planets are in moolatrikona sign? * How to find planets in their own signs? Thanks. Guest guest
Thanks. I've started listening to the lectures. In the meantime: Some software, clearly state which planets are exalted, those that are in moolatrikona sign, and those that are in their own signs? Does JH have those capabilities? Guest guest
Dear Rajiv, JHora is a comprehensive astrological software that does a lot of calculations and computations. Emphasis has been placed on providing the exact calculations, proper logic in building yogas, expanding on research etc., JHora has menu items which educate you of planets exaltation, moolatrikona, argala, graha drishti etc., Double click on a planet and then Right click on the chart and you will come across menu items that lead you to answers to your questions. It is better to learn Jyotisha basics formally and this way you can tell without the software. Use the software as a Analytical aid not to learn Jyotisha. With Best Wishes Shrikanth jhora , " Rajiv Vyas " <rajiv1 wrote: > > Thanks. I've started listening to the lectures. Guest guest
Namaste, I never thought of adding that. JHora has a lot of complex calculations and is for astrologers who want help in calculations. It is NOT for laymen who want to find out their fortune. If one does not know by a mere look at the chart which planets are in exaltation, debilitation, moolatrikona and own signs, it is unlikely that JHora is useful to that person. It never occurred to me to add this ability. In any case, this is probably not difficult to add. I can consider this feature. Guest guest
Thanks Narasimha. I recently started learning Vedic Astrology from Dirah Academy International. They use Hayden Jotish in their teaching material, which seems to be able to do this. My plan was to take a very basic level course, read some books, etc. before taking an intermediate level courses. Unfortunately, I live in the DC/Baltimore area and hence can't attend any of the SJC programs. Regards, Rajiv jhora , " Narasimha P.V.R. Guest guest
Dear Rajiv, Namaskar. Yes to all questions. If you are familiar with the planets, ownerships etc you do not need a software to point it out. But if you are still learning you can point to any graha in the chart and rightclick and select from the dropdown menu, it is really easy, try it . right click on graha>select relationships which highlights the menu, select your choice. It is a very user-friendly software really... Rgds Nalini Rajiv Vyas <rajiv1jhora Sent: Tuesday, 30 December, 2008 10:22:58 PM Re: Exalted planets Thanks. I've started listening to the lectures.
