Isht and Kasht Tendencies. Reduce 1 from each of Chesht Rasmi and Uchch Rasmi. Then multiply the products by 10 and add together. Half of the sum will represent the Isht Phala (benefic tendency) of the Grah. Reduce Isht Phala from 60 to obtain the Grah's Kasht Phala (malefic tendency). Also , there is a reference to the sum total of Ishta and Kashta phala always amounting to 60. reference is chapter 28 , BHPS.. the chapter no may differ depending on which translation of BHPS youre using , but BHPS clearly states that after ishta phala has been found out , it is simply to be deducted from 60 to obtain Kashta Phala . humble regards, Chandan S Sabarwal.
