Online Sidereal Ephemeris

Dear JHora members. I am trying to find an online sidereal ephemeris. Many

western

astrological sites offer tropical ephemeris but not sidereal. I do not find

anything from a

google search.

One sidereal ephemeris I use is from:

http://www.lightonVedic Astrology.com/ephemeris.htm

This shows the year ahead but does not include the outer planets. It also

defaults for GMT

at midnight. I would suggest someone use GMT at noon. That way anyone west or

east of

GMT would only need to adjust the time plus or minus to see the time on the same

day. I

will see the moon on this calendar for today, Dec 6, for example at 21:30 AQ UT,

but it is

then a complicated process to subtract from UT to find the time in my own time

zone.

I used a 10-year sidereal ephemeris that a vedic astrologer (Michael Mahesh

Taft) placed

in an excel table, and he might have been able to use the Astrodienst site

http://www.astro.com/cgi/swetest.cgi?arg=-h & p=0 to do it, but I am not a

programmer

and do not know how to create it. This was an excellent ephemeris that I could

check from

any computer, but it ends this year, and Michael does not plan to do a new

ephemeris.

I would like to have the online version of the American Sidereal Ephemeris

2001-2025 by

Neil F. Michelsen but this site shows only a sample page to advertise the

book, and I have

not been able to find it online http://www.astroamerica.com/sidereal.pdf.

I wish astrodienst would allow a simple method similar to their extended chart

selection

that enables a user to use an ayanamsa like Lahiri to get a vedic astrological

chart instead

of one that uses the tropical ephemeris, but astrodienst is anti-sidereal.

If anyone has any suggestions for finding an online sidereal ephemeris, please

let me

know. I prefer to see a few years ahead without doing elaborate calculations,

and the only

jyotish program I have is Jhora.

I do think if anyone has the capability and the interest, it would be possible

to charge a

small amount for a calendar. Michael's was free as are most ephemeris I see

online. But it

is not that convenient to transport a book, especially since I do so much work

online, so

an online version would be helpful. I am surprised that sidereal astrologers

have not done

this.

Thanks,

Janna
