Guest guest
Dear Narasimha and Francois When preferences are saved for the fixed vishnu nabi ayanamsa, which on Dec. 4 2008 18h44 Eastern Standard Time (Greenwich minus 5)is 23-50-58.28 then after the program is closed and re-opened, the ayanamsa value in the basics window has changed to the other 'chittra at 180 deg.' value of 23-57-57.61, while the ayanamsa choice window still shows the fixed vishnu nabi option. Now click OK on this window without touching anything else, and the ayanamsa value in the basics window reverts to the fixed vishnu nabi where it should be. This is on Windows XP French version Edition familiale. Thank you, Narasimhaji, for your inspiring work, may God bless you! Guest guest
Namaste, Yes, I see that I did introduce a bug when cleaning up everything for allowing different user preferences. In all my testing, I was hijacking the same setting and redefining. For release, I had to add multiple choices. I messed up there. Thanks for pointing this out. This will be fixed soon. Right now, I am extremely extremely busy at work and working late hours and weekends also. Once I get some time, I will fix this and release a new version. Thank you very much for pointing this out. If there are any other bugs, pelase bring them to my attention ASAP, so that I can fix all of them together. BTW, I have a request. I am wondering if any of you familiar with Inno Setup (freeware downloadable at www.jrsoftware.org) can figure out how to read JHora path from registry and write jhora.exe to the correct location. I can send the original JHora setup script I used, which writes path to a registry entry and loads all the files into appropriate locations. The update script will need to retrieve the path from registry and use it. I am not sure how to do it, but I know that it is doable. If anybody can give me a script, it will be very useful. If you are willing to help, please let me know and I will send the full install script. You can then write the exe update script and send it to me. Thanks! Guest guest
Dear Narasimha,Since you asked for other bugs to be fixed (not that this is a bug but I would love this little fix), would you see if you could make the Amsa Rulers remain at their last D chart setting, so that when we re-open the program they'll be on the chart we previously selected? Right now they revert to the D-150 lords. Thanks so much, and Blessings,JulliOn Dec 6, 2008, at 9:53 PM, Narasimha P.V.R. Guest guest
Namaste This is probably not a bug. Please open the Preferences menu, and click 'save preferences' while you have the desired amsa chart. The program should open to the same amsa chart next time you run it. It works for me. Guest guest
Namaste, It remembers the current amsa charts being displayed, but does not remember the amsa being used in "amsa rulers" tab. Guest guest
Thanks, Yanis. I do get the same amsa charts when I re-open the program, but the "amsa rulers" list reverts back to the D-150 rulers in my program. Thanks for the suggestion.JulliOn Dec 8, 2008, at 10:24 PM, yanis_d wrote:NamasteThis is probably not a bug. Please open the Preferences menu, and click 'save preferences' while you have the desired amsa chart.
