Hi Members,The dasa starting and ending time in Jhora 7.1b2 is different from 7.02. The dasa starting and ending day/month/year is mostly the same in these 2 versions unless the time difference spans the borderline between the definition of a day/month/year.For Rasi Dasas, the time difference is small, i.e. a few seconds. For Nakshatra Dasas, the time difference is relatively big, i.e. more than an hour. PVR : Is this difference a constant 1 hour and 52 minutes (approximately) for all Nakshatra Dasas?Using Vimshottari Dasa (a Nakshatra Dasa) as an example, here are some potential implications :1. Nakshastra Dasas Experts There may not be many people who can predict accurately to the nearest day, let alone to the nearest hour using only Vimshottari Dasa, e.g. analysing 6 levels of Vimshottari Dasas. But if you can achieve this high level of accuracy and rectifed all your jhora charts based on dasa time provided in Jhora 7.02, then you may want to take note of this time difference when using Jhora 7.1b2.2. Dasa Entry ChartIf you use Dasa Entry Chart techniques for Vimshottari Dasa analysis, with a difference of 1 hour 52 minutes, there is a good chance the Entry Chart's lagna and thus its arudhas may be different. If this time difference spans the borderline of the definition of vedic day, nakshatras, Sun-Moon yogas, then even the Entry Chart's panchanga data may change. The deeper one goes into the divisional charts of this Entry Chart, the higher the chance of Moon (being the fastest moving planet) located in a different sign in a divisional chart. This is in addition to the potential changes in divisional chart lagna. If there is anyone who uses Entry Chart techniques on Nakshatra Dasas *based on Jhora 7.02* and achieves a good level of accuracy, could you kindly comment on this issue? PVR : Could you kindly comment on the above-mentioned issues?Thank you.Best Wishes,PushyaP.S. This dasa time difference should be related to issue mentioned in my previous post regarding the difference in Lahiri Ayanamsa values between 7.02 and 7.1b2 for the same birth data.

Namaste,

Please see the comment in the other email. The Lahiri ayanamsa given in Swiss Ephemeris is used now.

In general, it will be unrealistic to use dasa pravesha charts in nakshatra chakras.

Also, it is unlikely that the Lahiri ayanamsa given in either 7.1 (and Swiss Ephemeris) or in 7.02 is the correct ayanamsa. The change in the formula between my formula and Swiss Ephemeris formula is only a few seconds. But, it is even possible that Lahiri ayanamsa is not correct and there is an error of many minutes. This will change dasa pravesha charts by many days!
