Fw: Transit Longitudes of Divisional Charts?

Dear Narasimha,

On page 284 of your textbook you mention the importance of the following interactions:

(1) a natal divisional chart and the transit rasi chart, and,

(2) the natal rasi chart and transit divisional chart.

Are you aware of the fact that when you generate the transit chart, that in the longitude grid (lower right corner of the transit window) one is not able to generate the degrees of the transiting divisional chart, although it will display the rasi transit positions? In other words if the transit chart is currently selected and one sees the transit positions in the lower right grid, if one then right clicks on the grid and attempts to "Choose the Divisional Chart for Longitudes" the natal chart will be used rather than the transit chart. I thought you might want to know this as I assume there are users that are assuming that this will generate the divisional transit positions. You might want to send out an email in the Jhora User Group so everyone is aware of this anomaly in the program.

Best Wishes,

Ellis

Hi Ellis,You are absolutely right - it is generating the longitudes for the Natal chart even if I choose once more for the longitudes to be generated. Thanks for the finding. As far as the group being less active, I have no idea as I myself am a occasional visitor (once in two weeks).regards,RamEllis Gordon <ellisfgordon wrote:

Hi Ram,

The printscreens are attached. The Jhora 7.02 file shows my current version and the other shows the bug I was describing in my last email. Compare the signs of the lower left chart to the positions in the lower right longitude grid.

Best Wishes,

Ellis

Hi Ellis,I just checked the point you had mentioned below - I find that when we generate a transit chart, all the charts in all windows are for thetransit timings and only when we use the "Back to natal chart" we get the natal charts in any screen. So I am not sure if the point you are raising is still holds good.I am using 7.04 full version on XP Professional (just in case if thismakes any difference)regards,Ramjhora , "Ellis Gordon" <ellisfgordon wrote:>> Dear Narasimha,> > On page 284 of your textbook you mention the importance of thefollowing interactions:> (1) a natal divisional chart and the transit rasi chart, and,> (2) the natal rasi chart and transit divisional chart.> > Are you aware of the fact that when you generate the transit chart, that in the longitude grid (lower right corner of the transit window)one is not able to generate the degrees of the transiting divisionalchart, although it will display the rasi transit positions?
