Guest guest Posted July 13, 2006 Report Share Posted July 13, 2006 Dear Jyotishi, I have a picture of a calendar in an encyclopedia, which shows a calendar of France that gives the day of the week for 6th of January 1780 as a Thursday, and it describes it was New Moon on that day. Now using the Gregorian calendar indeed on that day it was new Moon, but my Jhora 7 program indicates it was a Monday. Is this a bug? Parashara Light indicates it indeed also as a Thursday. Where could I find more info on the change of Julian into Gregorian calendar? Apparently the weekdays were not changed alongwith the date change?
