Guest guest Posted March 11, 2006 Report Share Posted March 11, 2006 Namaskar Shri PVR, While it is learnt from Jemini the chara karakas are decided as per the descending order of the plaetory signs and charakarakas ae taken up to saturn only. In fact it is as follows: Natural Karaks:- Atma Karak Surya; Amatya Karak Budh; Bhratru Karak Mangal; Matru Karak Chandra; Putra karak Guru; Dnyati Karak Sani; Dara/Pati Karak Shukra. These are seven understood Karakas. But I found in this software additional Karak shown as Pitru Karak. Secondly descending order doesn't match our traditional assignment for Karakas. May be because of additional Pitru Karak. And this software takes also Rahu in cosideration thru charakarak point of view. I tried to fine some refferenc for this in couple of books but I could not trace it out. Now my question is, whether eighth Karak is valid or not. If yes ho0w the arrangment is done. In some charts I found Rahu as dara karak in common although degrees of Rahu doesn't fit in descending order. I wuld now request you to guide me thru charakarakas with refference books for reading and what order is taken for fixing chara karakas?
