Namaste.

My name is Lakshminarayana Bokka.I have joined Jhora group

recently.Though I am a novice in Astrology,I developed interest in

erecting Muhurthams for family needs using Jhora.

 

For long time,I am exploring on clarity over some issues as detailed

hereunder and I thought this group is the best source to seek

clarifications and hence this e-mail.

 

Jhora has been very useful for erecting subha Muhurthams especially

for the Indians living in the US.The muhurthams given in Indian

Calenders need to be reworked to suit to the requirement of persons

in the US.

 

Information on the following queries, would be of great help in the

context of erecting an auspicious time which is expected to be free

from any dosha related to Rahu kalam,Varjyam and durmuhurthams of

day to day.

 

1.Rahu Kalam:-

 

Rahu kalam for any Indian or USA location could be seen and

avoided by looking in Miscellany - panchnga tab of Jhora

 

2.Varjyam & Durmuhurthams:-

 

Varjyam and daily durmuhurthams are given in Indian calenders to

look and avoid them in a Muhurtham in Indian location.For example,I

have data for Rajamundry,AP,India for 23 Feb, 2006 Thursday

 

Durmuhurthams:Commencing at 10.19 hrs and 14.59 hrs. lasting for 45

min.

 

Varjyam :from 10.53 to 12.25 hrs. again from 0.39 to 02.11 hrs on 24

Feb.

 

The query is how to calculate or relate the varjyam,durmuhurtham

times at say South Grafton,Massachusetts,USA for the above day'

 

3.A query on Pushkaramsa and lagna pramanam:-( example Vrischika

lagnam)

 

I observed in Indian Calender,while Pushakaramsa is 33

minutes,Lagna pramanam is different like for Rajamandri,it is 132

minutes and it is 134 minutes for Madras.

 

The query is - What is the significance of Pushkaramsa?Why a

muhurtham is fixed as time calculated from commencement of a lagnam

plus pushkaramsa time.

How to calculate the pushkaramsa time,lagna pramanam say for

Vrishika Lagnam for South Grafton,massachusetts,USA

 

This is to request you to examine above queries and provide me

guidance / clarifications ASAP.
