Dear Rao,

Yes, in that case it does match. But did you now change your opinion on

the true sunrise definition? I came to the conclusion that edge of sun is

correct.

No, what I meant is that I have different software and all indicate a

couple of minutes (or sometimes seconds) difference in sunrise with the

new JHL5. The funny thing is that the old jhl program had the same sunrise

time as I find in my other software...so something has changed there.

Perhaps a bug in the new JHL5?

The current Jhora program (full version)

uses the swiss ephemeris, which increases the accuracy of these timings. The “old

version” (or lite versions) do not come with an

ephemeris. They (probably) use the moshier algorithm, which is a good

appromixation, but not as accurate. Chances are that Jhora (with ephemeris) is

giving “better” results.

Hare Rama Krishna

Namaste Dhira Ji,

Yes, your are correct, I am using now the Option-1 and it is

giving me more accurate results. I remember you have

mentioned about using this option some months ago too.

Regarding the second question, Ajit Ji had already answered

to you.
