Hi Doug,

Welcome to the sidereal forum, though we've been v-e-r-y quiet lately.

You've perked up my curiosity about your horoscope since you see yourself

as different and not fitting in. You were born near the solstice which is a

critical time, just before the Sun starts its southern path. I'm wondering

what you beliefs and interests are that you feel are alien to others?

You didn't give your city of birth in case we want to calculate your

horoscope. You were born just after noon, then?

first of all if anyone does my horoscope,i would really like to see what they

calculate and what the results of my chart is,one friend tried but i never got a

solid reply from them.i was born june 21 1979 at 12:45 pm in albany ny(st.peters

hospital).sorry i forgot the essentials...

as far as me seeing my self as different:i see my self as different because of

how i view life in general, all the women ive ever been with tell me that im

different(youre not like anyone i ve ever met...)my musical tastes i listen to

everything and appreciate everything from 1930s folk and blues-too van morrisson

to richie havens to dave matthews band to hatebreed and metallic ,and i love

every genre of music equally.i loooove the arts and anything to do with the

arts.i loooove sunsets,i looove women but yet women are the one thing i fear

mostin this world because of my past experiences.....(long story)but yet i loong

to feel love but i cant /dont know how to move twards it... ive been single for

6 years and i m 27 yrs old(i havent even had sex in 6 yrs,not erven a kiss or a

hug....and ive dated 4 women.....how many 27 yr olds do u know that are in that

boat and how would you feel if it were you?i am an alien/outcast from this

society.i dont play games with people like

most 27 yr olds,i dont have onenight stands ,i tell it how i see it (unlike

most ),im humble-and not afraid to admit it,i have a heart and i choose not to

act tough.......IM NOT LIKE THE REST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!i have an old soul(since

age 12 ive always felt just..old.i crave knowledge,ill never know enough,and i

read magazines backwards(back page to the front)....im heavily interested in

meditation and yoga,and the unexplained,old religions,japanese

culture(samurai)and i will push myself physically to the absolute edge(with a

smile on my face)im just different than most people and i feel like an outsider

in this world(ive never met anyone like myself)....

Hi Jollie,

For you, Mercury-Neptune is in the 12th in square to MC-IC. Your present

solar duplicates exactly your natal cusps all the way round, but now

Saturn & Neptune afflict all those angles and your life is upside down.

But this year because they square solar Mercury-Jupiter in the 12th,

they make you an astrologer wondering why your life is upside down. So

the train has arrived at the station right on time, yes?

They are not to be found in your next solar. But you won't miss them,

being occupied as you will be with a tight Moon-Venus-Saturn in the

7th...and their aspects. You are doing, please...solar, lunars, solar

monthlies? You must.

The past few months have been extremly crazy for me, yes my life seems to be

upside down. I try not to do my own readings because i tend to read too much

into them, this is true also with The Tarot. My Astrology teacher is away for a

few months, so im trying to figure this one out on my own so thank you for your

help.

sincerely,

Hello Group,I have been a silent spectator for the past 10-15 days. The discussion that takes place in this group is really good and informative. I have no clue about astrology, but am interested in learning though. The reason I joined this group 15 days ago was for the same reason. I would like to learn more about myself and my future, so I thought of beginning from here.I am currently staying in USA, and my life has changed a lot after coming to USA. So the more I think about my earlier life versus my current life, the more I want to learn astrology. I am not sure if astrology can be learned just by reading books and reading the discussions. I bet not. But what are the other alternatives I have to learn astrology.I want to know more about myself and my character as I am

trying to make an important decision in my life, but am not able to make that decision with people around me giving all sorts of conflicting advices. All the decisions in my life so far have been very quick and uncontrolled by me. So far different astrologers have given different opinions, but am not sure which is correct. That's the reason I want to learn astrology. Please suggest me ways to learn astrology.I use to watch all astrology related programs back in India. Here I have limited or no access at all. Please please suggest me ways to learn astrology.Thank you,Jaya.

Dear Ms. Jaya ji,

You have SJC groups active in USA and you may learn from them.....and

they are supposed to be free to my limited knowledge.... this group is

for those who are already into astrology and experienced ...... you can

also visit " vedic astrology classes " and get to know the

translation of BPHS there.....

Be ready to spend 5 yrs of time atleast to get basics of astrology.

Astrology will NOT solve your problems that you are currently facing....

keep your expectations realistic and let it not be read just because you

are facing problems.....surely you would not start medical books or

become doctor just because you are suffering from some medical ailment

....etc...

Dear Ms Jaya Ji,

Welcome to the group. Sreeram Ji has already given you good pointers. First, Yes, astrology CAN be learned from the Internet, however, it CANNOT be learned by just randomly reading articles or visting Groups. If one uses the Internet as a medium and a black board for One on One instruction and discussion, it can indeed be a very effective tool for learning Jyotish. For this you need an experienced and accomplished teacher.

In the US, you have several options SJC is one option. Here is another: You can visit the American College of Vedic Astrology website: http://www.Vedic Astrology.org/certification_01.html.

This is a link to their Certification program. You can see all the details there. AVCA has two levesl of certification. In my opinion, the level 1 certification is more rigorous than the Jyotish Praveen offered elsewhere online, because, with this one you need 600 Hours of Credits and will be evaluated on 10 chart analysis, plus you will need a mininum of 20 hours of One On One training with a trained Jyotishi.

In the same website, you will also see correspondence courses for beginners, which are very useful. I would strongly suggest you do one of the correspondence courses First to get a feel of what this science is about and see if you like or are willing to go further with this study. They also have some interesting video tapes, audio tapes etc if you are curious to wade in to the Ocean of Jyotish.

Regarding your bigger question lf Fate Vs Free Will etc have been pondered by humanity for Eons and you may get opinions but not answers. Those answers will come to each one of us as we progress upwards in our spiritual paths. Until that time debating it is not a very effective use of time.

Regarding becoming a Doctor or an Engineer: Whether some one becomes a Doctor or Engineer or just drops out of college and becomes a drug peddler, all these are valid outcomes for One Life Time. It will bring with it its own set of experiences that the Soul will assimilate in its journey upwards. In the Big Scheme Of Things: It does not really matter which of the three outcomes one chooses. Eventually all of us will try every thing and learn from them.

Regards,

-Manoj

Thank you very much Sreeram Ji for your suggestion on the groups. Will become the member of those groups immediately.Yes I am ready to spend my entire life to learn astrology. You are correct that astrology will not solve my problems that I am currently facing, but it would definitely help me in making the best decisions. For example: Say according to my chart, I could be a very good doctor, but my inclination is towards becoming an engineer. So which would be a better bet? Doctor or Engineer? Writing about this, raised a question - is fate and astrology related? Are all our actions based on the position of stars?I would not read medical books or become a doctor just because i am suffering from some medical ailment, but I would definitely try to get myself involved in some way to know how and why it was caused. I have heard from few people, that their motivation or goal to become or do something, was based on their past

experiences. I know a friend of mine wanted to become a doctor, because his favorite grand mother died of cancer. But fate didn't let him become a doctor as he passed away when he was in his first year of college.I appreciate your advice on the . Thank you very very much.Sincerely,Jaya.
