Dear Subashji,Lord Krishna said in Bhagavad Gita that a yogi who has not attained realizationwill take birth in a family of yogis so that he /she can pick up the thread fromwhere he / she left at the end of his / her earlier birth and can pursue his /her spiritual journey from that onwards. Thus in birth itself one inherits themerits of the earlier births. Indian astrology too believes in the Karma theory. One takes birth in aparticular year, time, place and family depending on one's karma. Thisbackground has ramifications in one's life and astrology predicts that. Thisdoes not mean that what a man does in this life will not have any effect. Forexample if a person is born rich he can utilise his wealth to increase hiswealth and become very rich or he can squander his wealth and

become a pauper. One has the free will and the providence does not interfere as otherwise theKarma theory will fail. If free will is not given and everything is pre-destinedthen one cannot be held responsible for one's action. Thus astrology is ascience which tells one about the probabilities of happenings in life dependingon the Karma of the past life. One must impose the fruits of action of this lifeto get a composite picture at any time. However there are some fake astrologers who claim that they can predicteverything astrologically. Many a times their predictions fail and they havebrought the astrology to disrepute. I have written this inviting comments fromyou and the other esteemed members. This is not for the people like SanatJainji and Avatar K. Kaulji, who it seems do not believe that the karma of thepast life together with the karma of the present life can have any

effect onone's life. Avtarji has even started crying that nobody has given him the chapter numberand the verse number of the verse of the Manu Samhita, where it is mentionedthat a King should consult astrologer. This is so because he reads the ManuSamhita selectively. He quotes Manu Samhita to say that the astrologers are notallowed to attend the Pretakarya etc. but he does not realize that this versealso proves that practice of astrology was prevalent during the times of Manu.Avtarji did not quote the adjoining verses of the Manu samhita where thephysicians and the temple priests are also not allowed to participate thepretakarya ceremonies. This amply proves that Manu had not banned astrogy asotherwise he would have banned medical practice and the pujas in the templestoo. Avtarji also does not believe that the Vedas have mentioned the Ravi(graha), Chandra (graha), Brihaspati (graha) and Rahu

(graha). He also does notbelieve that Manu has preferred to use the names of months such as Margashirsha, Phalguna and Chaitra rather than thethe names of the months such as Madhu and Madhava. He also does not believe thatin Bhagavad Gita Lord Krishna preferred to use the name of Margashirsha thanMadhu and Madhava.Regards,Sunil K. More than 3 weeks have passed but I have not yet receivedyour comments. I hope you will now share your views either on my email or inforum .ThanksYours truly,Sanat18-3-9Dear Razdan ji,Namaskar,I invited you to join the forum , ofcourse alongwith yourfriends. I was waiting for your msg., but in the meantime one of my friendintimated about the flashing of invitation in some forum. Thanks for forwardingthe invitation

to some forum. You can very well inform your other friends aboutthis.I came to know about the reaction of a member in response to your msg. Hence Iam intimating my observation. Please remember that my observation is in view ofpredictive astrology and it has nothing to do with any religion.Astrologers are claiming that they can predict the event of future with the help of astrological principlesand conclusion may be drawn on the birth chart and transit. I hope till now youhave no objection. Now my point is this that when (a) birth chart is fixed and (b) transit isfixed, © principles of astrology are fixed then definitely ® prediction mustbe fixed, which is based on a,b,c. There may be variation in conclusion by anastrologer due to incorrect application of principles. But if astrologer isperfect then where is the question of any variation in the prediction. Now if we add the

concept of present karm, which is being emphasized by yourfriend then there are two possibilities.1. Future event will change due to Karm2. Future event will not change. Now if future event change due to karm then it will be against any conclusiondrawn by any socalled learned astrologer on the basis of a,b,c above then where is the correctness of prediction. It means prediction has nothing to dowith actual incidents. And remember incident itself is not the result of anysingle person, because it is net result of contribution made by manyindividuals. Thus if prediction is wrong then what is the use of misguinding aperson in the name of planet. It would have been best that astrologer maysuggest to do some Karm instead of wasting the time on planets. In second case, which is also emphasized by the astrologer that “Honi tonischit hai†(future event

will definitely happen). Now this event is beingdecoded with the help of astrological principles. And if future is fixed thenwhere is the necessity of any Karm. Because if last event is fixed thendefinitely in between events are also fixed. I will like to have your views alongwith the views of your friend on my emailor in forum “â€.I hope you may have gone through the blog “Astrology a science or myth†and may like to share your views onso many points raised in the blog.Thanks.Yours truly,Sanat(If you want then you can pass on my reply to concerning forums)22-2-9
