Dear Astrologers a question on rahu ketu in the 12th place

Dear Astrologers,

I came across an article which said specifically that conjunction of mars and

ketu in the 12th house in ketus exalted place of vrischik, of a horsocope with

the sun in the 5th house prouduces a lot of hurdles and causes the native to

have qualities like being a great cheat, having him to lose a wife , burn his

house etc. Iam not able to figure out what a house has to do with the 12th house

which is considered as the house of expenditure and which can say about the

quality of next birth.

Kindly clarify this and forgive me if iam wrong as iam a new bie to astrology

Dear Sukran ji,I think this position existed in 84 charts and is possible only in Sagittarius lagna. For sagis, mars is 5/12L in own house in 12 with exalted ketu. Sun is exalted 9L in 5H. I do not think this combination will produce a cheat. It will make a person charitable, religious, would make ashrams abroad, etc. About burning his house, what it implies is not clear. Is it burning by self? Regarding marriage also, the harm may not be there as mars is himself lord of 12H and likely to derive pleasures from 7H (though spouse may not be vary happy being an inimical sign and a malefic). Mars here is also the lord of 5H which is gains from marriage including children.

12H is house of expenditure for self only. But it also signifies much more. This 12H is related to all other houses in various ways and you should try to understand those significations, in relation to different houses.

Dear Sukran ji, This is NOT possible. Can you provide your reference? In which text you have seen this combination? If someone you know did all this, then it must be due to some other combination present in his chart and not this. Even though Ke in 12th can produce many bad results, exalted 9th lord sun in 5th house Aries is beneficial for Sagittarius lagana and can never cause such destruction. Perhaps, you are referring to the chapter of karakansh in BPHS. But the verses

mentioned there are different from what you have written. These deal with

burning houses.

 

//20 shubhashadvargasanyuktau vishavaidhyo bhavet tada

Bhauma ikshite karakanshe bhanuhu swarbhanu sanyute

 

If rahu-sun(in karaknash) occupy benefic shadvargas, the native will

become a doctor, treating poisonous afflictions. An aspect of mars

on Sun-Rahu in Karakans

 

21 anyagraha na pashyanti swaveshmaparadahakah

Tasmin budha ikshi te cha api vanhido naiva jayate

 

Without aspect of any other planets, the native will burn his own or

other's house, if mercury aspects this, then he will burn others

house and not his own

 

22 paparkshe guruna drishte samipa gruhadahakah

Shukradrishte tu viprendra gruhadaho na jayate

 

If sun-rahu in karakans happens to be in a malefic sign, aspected by

Jupiter, one will burn a house in his neighborhood while an aspect of

venus will not cause such an event//

Thank you very much for your favourable and kind insight.

I had come across this content in this article at

and it had quoted thus " Effects of Mars :- Great cheat, loss of health if with

kethu house will be burnt, death to wife, unfortunate, no issues, disturbed

sleep, quarrelsome, wastes wealth, poor " .I cant seem to find the other article

where it was told that the effects of mars and ketu are increased many times in

vrischik which happens to be the own house of mars with aspect of sun in the 5th

in aries.

which as sreenadh jee pointed out happens for saggi lagna.

 

I have always been fascinated by ketu and was looking up effects of ketu in

the12th house when i came across this article and thank GOD I could clarify
