Guest guest
Dear friends I think that astrology affects as long as certain event is planned. e.g.somebody may plan marriage by searching a good day as per his belief(Actualy any day should be good). However after the event has taken place it becomes history. Records are made for history. If we want to search date of past the event, it is to be searched scientificaly only.(i.e. from the records of past history) By astrology you can affect future events(by fixing dates etc). But you can not affect past events(for which records are made). e.g. You can search for planet positions at the time of birth. But you can not change the positions at the the time of birth afterwards. A doctor may select good time for operation and affect time of birth. But after birth ,the planets at the time of birth are fixed and recorded. Then afterwards you can not change the facts (unless somebody does false birth certificate) Prafulla
Guest guest
Dear Friends, Vedavyasa had told that Saturn STAYED for one whole year in Visakha ( in Vrischik Rashi) along with Jupiter and that was pure ASTRONOMICAL data.. Vedavyas also had told that Saturn TROUBLED Rohini and that was ASTROLOGICAL information. Many people who dabbled in astronomy could not understand that if the Saturn is in Visakha how can it affect Rohini ( in Vrishabh Rashi) and they rejected the most valuable ASTRONOMICAL data outright and misinterpreted the ASTROLOGICAL information and thought that Saturn must be in Rohini. Poor such pseudo-astronomers, who will never find the true date of the Mahabharata war through their efforts even if they are really keen about that. Regards, Sunil K. Guest guest
Dear Sunil I do not think that whatever Vyasa had stated was a mixure of astrology and astronomy. There are some contradictory statements (which may be due to gramatical mistakes done aftrwards.) What probably he meant was that Jupiter and Saturn were at equal distance from Vishakha. We can not go by only one ststement. We have to see ALL OTHER statements. Therefore Sometimes I say that statements are 99% correct.(1% may be mistakes done afterwards) But I always look from one point only.i.e.Astronomical view. My claim is that Vyasa was a good Astronomer. But unfortunately our people are not giving him due credit of astronomer. We are trying to lable him as astrologer. I do not bother about what LABLE you give to me. How is it that you being a scientist sometimes believe in astrology and sometimes in astronomy ? Even though I have built my own house and I am paying taxes (I had my own car also and I had made a parking place for it) many selfish people(including some builders/agents spread rumours that I am a driver/sweeper/intruder etc etc.But I do not bother about them nor my family members.(This can not happen without help of some selfish Govt persons) As the discussion is becoming personal ,I wish to stop it and will not reply to this issue. But anybody wants to buy my book,pl. send private email.
