Does name matter?

Dear all,

 

I was reading the biography of A.R.Rehman on the web. I came across the

following

 

//Both his father and mother were believers in Astrology. His mother

took him along once to a astrologer to get the horoscope of Bala

(Talat) done. She asked the astrologer, Ullaganathan in chennai to

suggest an Islamic name for Dilip. The astrologer on seeing Dilip

immediately told his mother to name him as Abdul Rahman and shorten it

to A. R. Rahman. When his mother asked the astrologer why the other

initial 'R', the astrologer replied " Give him a name with two initials

and mark my words, he will grow up to be a great man " . His mother did

accordingly. But the A and R would later become Allah Rakha on the

suggestion of reknowned composer Naushad Ali.//

Namaskar Bhagavath ji. Neelam ji

 

I did search - almost a whole day for the same - but without

much help

the give date of birth is Jan 6th 1966 ( one site blog with

lot of infomation about him gave date of birth as jan 6th 1967 -

i have mailed the person but i dont think the person know the

family or A.R Rahman to get correct information)

 

But the chart on 6th Jan 1966 do look great -

 

1. Retro Jupiter in Gemini with moon

2. Mars in Capricorn with retro venus

A few land marks in his life

 

Fathers demise when he was 9yrs old ( when the father got his

first break in career) due to an undiagnosed disease.

 

Had to support the family since and started to work with Illayaraja

at 11yrs or age ( must have worked before also )

 

In 1988 his sister got ill with and undiagnosed disease which

lead to the major spiritual transformation of life.

 

In 1992 started his recording studio followed by giving music to

advertisements

(The film which changed his life Roja - was offered to him in 1991

and it got realised in 1992 )

 

 

 

A possible lagnas are

 

1. Gemini lagna with the Gajakesari yoga in langa

2. Virgo lagna making the 10 house more strong

3. Aquarius lagna - 9th lord venus afflicted by mars and rahu

 

 

I would like the inputs

Dear Nandanaji,

 

Thank you for his date of birth. I would use the following info about

him, to choose between the years 1966 and 1967. 1966 can be a better

fit because the AK(chara) for the entire day and night was Sun. So his

karakansh is tula. In Tula we have Sun and Jupiter, 9th has mars. Thye

trines influenced by Sun and mars made him a musician. Mars in 9th

aspected by jupiter could be the reason why he switched to another

religion.

 

In my opinion he could have been born after 2.00PM, when his moon will

be in any one of his saturnian signs. That explains his complexion. If

we take mesha lagna for him, could fit. He has curly hair. His LL

exalted in 10th shows his devotion to his profession. Also, the planets

in his 10th would be mars-venus, apt for his profession, saturn in 11th

shows the masses after him.

 

Awaiting opinion of others. I felt like analyzing this chart in the

light of karkansh as mentioned in BPHS. We just completed this chapter

in our classes. I think karakansh can tell a lot when BT is absent.
