Dear Hari Malla,

In fact sidereal sign system was conceived before

2000B.C. There after Tropical signs were named similar to

sidereal signs.

Kindly remember ,in ancient past Sages conceived only six

seasonal sectors and not twelve. They were observing

5year yuga containing 62 repeat 62 lunar months and yuga system

is corrected every 19 years so that there is co-relation in solar year

and Lunar thithis. you will observe that after 19 years same thithi occurs

on the same date.

As tropical signs do not have any permanent link with starts , the question of naming them

after the names of stars does not arise to begin with.

In India transit of planets and lunar months are always co-related to Naksharas.

When natal astrology became popular , only then sidereal signs also become popular.

At that time Tropical signs were nonexistent.

About 2000BC , TROPICAL SIGNS WERE COME IN EXISTENCE.Prior to that,

Sages were only aware transit of Equinoxes and Solstices in the back ground of stars.

Regards, G.K.GOEL
