Guest guest
Hello again, and thank you for this forum. I have another question please. Can anyone tell me why the navagraha avatars are pictured and diagrammed in many of the traditional yantra plates in this order of the deities? Guest guest
dear friends sun as the lord of the solar system obviously takes the centrestage and hence he is at the centre while all other eight planets are placed around him. mars like an army or defence chief is seated next. similarly jupiter like a minister or adviser or guru too is seated on the other side along with. the feminine or soft or comforting planets have taken backseat or are under cover or protection from the centre. bottomline planets represent the malefics and karmic et all. a view of this arrangement of the yantras written manually as per shastras with ashtagandha on bhojpatra with the numeric yantras inscribed within the respective symbols of the nine planets along with their respective mantras in sanskrit written underneath can be seen in the following link. http://www.rudraksharemedy.com/images/big-sizes/yantra.jpg there are and there must be many other reasons too like the directional movements etc. for this arrangement which other learnt members may share. in a lighter vein, recently one customer made a comment that the yantra writers of india were great sudoku champions as they used sudoku in vedic yantras long long ago. with best wishes and blessings pandit arjun , " jai.ma " <jai.ma wrote: > > Hello again, and thank you for this forum. Guest guest
Namaste, Navagraha yantra are the replica of Navagraha installed in Sanctum sanctorum of every Hindu Temple.I think that HINDUISM inculcated Astronomy in the young minds from time immorial and as well as proclaimed to the world that HINDUS aware of Heliocentric theory too though they practiced Geocentric theory in Astrology.I think in the preparation of Panchangam both theories are used. With regards, D.Sathiyanarayana Gupta. P.S:I am neither an Astronomer nor panchanga ganitha expert, the above are my gestures. " jai.ma " <jai.ma wrote: Hello again, and thank you for this forum.
