Design & Philosophy behind 12 Houses of Horoscope &

referred to the 9th and 10th houses in a horoscope as indicative of

one=s father. In the absence of detailed explanations which most

jyotish classics tend to shy away from B one would have to try and

It is a summary of excerpts from an invited lecture,Contribution of

Indian Jyotisha to the World, delivered by me at Ujjain's Kalidasa

Academy on Mar 13,2008.

 

Vedas are said to date after 1500 BC, hence Vedangas ought to be later

creations. But Egypt and Sumer show evidences of astrology much

before, with same design and meanings of 12 astrological houses as

" later " evolved in India, supposedly under Greek influence. But in my

speech, I showed that 12 bhaavas were designed on the samkhya-yoga

plus vedanta philosophy and could not originate in a land which was

ignorant of such philosophies!

 

In that lecture, I also presented my conclusions of 12 year long

structural linguistic research in historico-comparative linguistics of

PIE.
