Guest guest
Dear Learned Friends, There are two views on the combustion of Mercury. What does each of you think of this ? Is Mercury really to be treated as combust ? Since it is more or less combusted in most of the Charts we encounter, but the combustion effects does not show in reality, with regards to the karakatwa of Mercury, in the natives Life. So what as per your goodselves must be the treatment in such cases ? regards, Bhaskar.
Guest guest
Dear Bhaskar ji, Here's my take on this. Others may not agree with this.Mercury and Sun when conjunct for the famous Budhhaditya or Nipun yoga. Logically, closer the conjunction, better should be the yoga! Isn't it? So may we say that mer-sun conjunction becomes better when mercury is combust? And we already know that most of the times mer-sun are conjunct, by this logic, most of the human specimens would be budhh-aditya personified? Nipun yoga means the native is sweet tongued, clever, scholarly, virtuous and will have learning, wealth, progeny and self-control, earns wealth by serving others. Also said to be highly intelligent, skilful in all works with a good reputation. Do we see everyone like that? Where is the catch? In the natural zodiac, mercury reflects the sun's creativity (5H) in the most positive and gainful way owning the 2H and 11H from 5H. While sun is neutral to mercury, mercury is friendly to sun. So the natural impulse for the native is to express (mer) his creativity (sun) in the best way. Actual expression cannot be the same for all as there are many challenges one needs to overcome to reach for the best. These challenges are posed by: Lordships of Sun and mercury in the chart. When mercury is combust a 4L sun, as in Taurus, the native learns with ease. And when it is combust LL sun as in Leo, he earns with ease. An icing on the cake is provided when conjunction happens in say 4H/5H for former and 2H/11H for later. And in both the cases one would use budhhi to get the required ease. What could be the results of a combust mercury in 10H for a sagi native? In the dasha of Sun won't he touch glorious heights? Lordship of sun is very important e.g mercury combust with a 9L sun will give good results. Actually each lagna will have its own way of dealing with this combustion. Then other factors like positions bhava and navamsha, other aspects and conjunctions and dashas etc. would moderate the results. I think Mercury should not be treated as combust for general results, it is only the spoilt and vulnerable prince being tested and protected by Sun. As for specifics, like in medical astrology, relationships, mundane, the conjunction and combustion has to be treated a little differently.RegardsNeelam
Guest guest
Dear Neelamji, Appreciate your take on the Combustion of Mercury. I too do not accept Combustion of Mercury as negative, unless it is supplemented by oher factors , such as the position and strength of Moon, or the Lordship of Mercury ie.the dispositor. Same way I do not consider Rahu and Ketu as Retrograde acually in normal manual calculations. ( Like we write in pen ( R) in brackets near the planet to indicate it is retro, but do not write so for Rahu and Ketu, for its understood). Since they are always retrograde, it means they are direct, or in other words, their movement is always same unlike other planets which may move backwards though they are going ahead, with exception of course of The Sun and Moon. For me Budhi-Aditya Yoga manifests only in 3 Rashis where this Yoga forms. One is Gemini, the other Virgo, and the last one is Leo. At all other places I do not consider it as Budhi aditya Yoga, or any Yoga of excellence, since Mercury has always to stay near The Sun, and so has Venus to always stay within 45 degrees. In my own case you may see that the Sun and Mercury are jut 3 degrees apart, and Moon is also apected in opposition by The Sun, yet I do not think I have less than average Buddhi by any means. But there are certain cases where Mercury is really combust and which will effect the natives faculties of analysis negatively, which I will take up later. best wishes, Bhaskar. , "neelam gupta" <neelamgupta07 wrote:>> Dear Bhaskar ji,> > Here's my take on this. Guest guest
Dear Bhaskar ji,Whether the Yoga manifests as Budha-adiya, Budhi-aditya or Budhu-aditya, will depend on many other factors also. //For me Budhi-Aditya Yoga manifests only in 3 Rashis where this Yoga forms. One is Gemini, the other Virgo, and the last one is Leo.//I think other lagnas also need a little bit of buddhi to live their lives. Surely disposition of mercury would affect them, even if not as much as in gem, leo and vir. How would you see Amitabh Bachchan's second inning/come back in merc-sun dasha in 1996. His mercury and sun are in virgo in degree conjunction. Of course we all know of the many rajyogas in 8H which push him up in adverse conditions, but this rise was governed by the merc and sun. Guest guest
Dear Neelamji, // I think other lagnas also need a little bit of buddhi to live their lives. Surely disposition of mercury would affect them, even if not as much as in gem, leo and vir.// I am apparently misunderstood. I nowhere mentioned Lagna, I only mentioned Raashis, which means whenever This Yoga forms in these Rashis, it will be a pure One, and will fully manifest, whatever Lagna it may hold in the chart. This means in other words, that this Yoga will have less of potential when forming in other Raashis. About Amitabh Bachhan, Note that Sun and Mercury forming a Budhi-aditya Yoga in Virgo, may make him very smart during the conjoined period of these planets, but note what these Sun and Mercury denote for him. This is simple astrology what I follow. If it denotes bad houses then this smartness and connections with the Whos Who would lead to evil results, but here the denotion of both these planets are with good houses. Sun and Mercury both in Chitra, ruled by Mars denoting activation of the houses 7,2,9 and 10. Where the 7th stands for public and the 10th for name and fame. If it was not Sun or Mercury but even any other planet placed in star of Mars, it would have given the same results. best wishes, Bhaskar. , "neelam gupta" <neelamgupta07 wrote:>> Dear Bhaskar ji,> > Whether the Yoga manifests as Budha-adiya, Budhi-aditya or Budhu-aditya,> will depend on many other factors also.> > //For me Budhi-Aditya Yoga manifests only in 3 Rashis where this Yoga forms.> One is Gemini, the other Virgo, and the last one is Leo.//> I think other lagnas also need a little bit of buddhi to live their lives.> Surely disposition of mercury would affect them, even if not as much as in> gem, leo and vir.> > How would you see Amitabh Bachchan's second inning/come back in merc-sun> dasha in 1996. Guest guest
Dear Bhaskar ji,Many of the famous personalities are like open books in front of us (at least regarding the happenings), and if we get their correct birth data, they serve as very good models for astrological studies. I learnt to keep a watch on events and known personalities from Shri KN Rao ji. He would generally make it a point to discuss astrological interpretation of current events and related personalities and ask us to follow the trail till the news died out. That is where one picks up finer nuances of predictions. RegardsNeelam
Guest guest
Dear Baskar ji and others:Following this line of thought, looking at Einstein's chart, we can note the following:1. Lagna is Gemini, and Mer and sun is in the 10th house. Mercury is not really combust since Mer and Sun are more than 10 degrees apart in different Nakshatras.2. Mercury is debilitated and it looks to me that the cancellation gives him the raja yogawhich made him a mathematical genuis.Any comments?ThanksAnantha Krishnan--- On Sat, 1/3/09, Bhaskar <rajiventerprises wrote:Bhaskar <rajiventerprises Re: Does Mercury really get combust ?Or is to be treated as Combust ?To: Date: Saturday, January 3, 2009, 11:01 AM // About Amitabh, though his comeback efforts started in mer-sun, but I guess > his ventures upto 2000 piled up only losses? Guest guest
Dear Anantha ji, I am not having his Birth details, so cannot comment on what you have mentioned, but this much is for sure that not a single Yoga or a debilitation or a Bhanga of same, can make or mar a man. The chart has to be seen in totality. These Yogas are just like triggers, but the whole Rifle with the butt, and the bullet, and the barell and the magazines all work together for the trigger to work and fire the shot. these are contained in the rest of the chart. regards, Bhaskar. , Anantha Krishnan <anantha_krishnan_98 wrote: > > Dear Baskar ji and others: > Following this line of thought, looking at Einstein's chart, we can note the following: > 1. Guest guest
Dear Anantha Krishnan ji,For a person to reach the legendary stature of Einstein, just a neech bhang is not enough. There are many charts like that and not of any worth.Einstein was not only a mathematician, but a researcher, physicist, logician, scinetist, thinker and philosopher and par excellence in everything. All the planets are so good that despite a debilitated mercury (which never let him enjoy the fruits and rewards for his work) he rose to such heights. An excellent 8H with rahu and exalted mars.Exchange between 9/10 lords and both in 9/10 houses, and all planets are disposited by saturn and Jupiter The person is a mathematician if Jupiter is in a Kendra or a Trikona and Venus in it's sign of exaltation (Sarvartha Chintamani 3/38)Exalted venus with sun in 10H are the key planets which run the show in the prime time dashas, supported by other planets. There are many more... just gave a few which came to my mind in the rashi chartFor those who may be interested Albert Einsteins BT: 14.3.1879/10.50 hrs/ULM, Germany.RegardsNeelam

Guest guest
Dear Neelamji, // Nipun yoga means the native is sweet tongued, clever, scholarly, virtuous and will have learning, wealth, progeny and self-control, earns wealth by serving others. Also said to be highly intelligent, skilful in all works with a good reputation// In case of nipuna yoga, the mer-sun conjunction is there but mer is not combust. Most texts also state that the person with nipuna yoga is everything as you have stated above but the person is " SELDOM RICH " .
