Dear Vedaprakash ji,

* The text you provided in the message was rendered

unreadable. Can you quote it again please.

* I hope the other forum is hinducivilization group, or is it some other

group you are pointing to? Please clarify, so that interested members can

follow up.

Note 1: Kalinga and Ujjain does seem to have some connection to the

Sindhu-Sarasvati civilization. But that is a conclusion we (astrologers)

arrived at based on some internal reference in astrological books or from

interpretation based on the same. Since our interest in history is

just secondary - please don't ask for true historical references or evidence.

But surely this could be a worthy pointer - I believe. The ancient astrological

(as evident from Swastika etc) knowledge of non-aryan Sindhu-Sarasvati people

who worshiped Siva and the mother goddess seems to have spread into and

survived in places like Ujjain (Malva) and Kalinga it seems. From

Saivaites later it got imparted to Jain (especially in Kalinga). It is also

interesting to note that it is King Asoka who destroyed both these

countries/cultures (i.e. Kalinga and Ujjain). Note 2: Don't put too many questions on the same and drag me into an argumentation. I am not interested in the same. As mentioened earlier history is only my secondary interest. History interests me only as much as it helps me to understand the history and evolution of astrological knowledge.

Love and regards,

Sreenadh

Dear Mr.Veda Prakash,

Its a misnomar that Kalingadesa is a mlechchadesa.I am born and broughtup in Chennai. But my ancestral origin is Bhuvaneswaram ( i.e.) modern Bhubaneswar.I belong to the ancient former Royal Family of Kalinga. There is a place called Veda Vyas now in modern Orissa state. It is a hilly forest area.Mharshi Krishadwipaayana Veda Vyasa wrote the greatest Ithihaasa the MAHABHARATA there. There is no reference to claim that Kalinga was a mlechadesa in ancient records. It is a perpetrated in modern times. It is similar like the the myth of the Aryan Invasion Theory.
