Guest guest
Dear Sreenadh ji, Thank you for the introduction and write up on the Panch Pakshi Shastra. I am always flabbergasted by the plethora of knowledge that our sages had in the past, and how they accumulated this enormous learning... Guest guest
Dear Sreenadh ji, NamasteIt is an informative article on Panch-pakshi. Thanks. The author of the book (`Biorhythms of Natal Moon') is popularly known as Prof. Dr. U.S. Pulippani. However, second name (Sundara Varadachary) has also been given in brackets below the name of Dr. U.S. Pulippani. I don't know whether it is the second name of Dr. Pulippani or Sundara Varadachary is a co-author of this marvellous book. This seemingly simple system is not so simple. Myself, several of my friends and my clients are using Panch-pakshi since last two years rigorously. Our experience has been over-whelming. It's proper usage in daily life or in business can show wonderful results. Two such feedbacks about Panch-pakshi are listed at following links:http://howisyourdaytoday.com/feedback/panchpakshi/AjayGupta.htmandhttp://howisyourdaytoday.com/feedback/panchpakshi/AtulGupta.htmWarm regards,Shyam , "Sreenadh" <sreesog wrote:Pancha Pakshi Sastra (5 Bird System) - Written by Sreenadh OG Pancha Pakshi Sastra (5 bird system) is an astrological knowledge branch that utilizes the biorhythms of natal Moon in prediction. [A good book with the name `Biorhythms of Natal Moon' by Sundara Varadacharya is currently available. Published by Ranjan Publications, Delhi] As per this system, 24 hours from one sunrise to next sunrise, consists of 10 Yama – 5 yama during day time and 5 yama during night time. Thus Yama is a name given to a duration of 2..4 hours as per this system (Different systems assign different duration for a `Yama'. Actually Yama just means `Duration'). Actually it is the five elemental vibrations that are personified birds (Pakshis). The 5 birds that does some or the other activity in each of these 5 time slots are – 1) Vulture 2) Owl 3) Crow 4) Cock 5) Peacock. The five activities these birds participate in are – 1) Eating 2) Walking 3) Ruling 4) Sleeping 5) Dying. The functional patters of the birds and activities vary, during waxing and waning Moon cycles, and also during week days. Therefore to know the Yama bird and its activity, you should have a detailed table that lists the same. Meaning of each activity As per the book `Biorhythms of Natal Moon', the meaning of each activity is as follows – Eating – This activity is nothing but renewal of the body cells, and thereby renewal of functions is thus effectedWalking – To eat, bird has to be earning. For earnings movement is necessary. This movement is walking activityRuling – The process of earning itself is the activity of ruling.Sleeping – After eating, walking and ruling, the system gets exhausted due to prolonged exertion resulting in the need to relax. This relaxing process is the sleeping activity.Dying – By repeated process of these four activities frequently, the body in which the soul resides, completely degenerates and reaches an extreme point when functioning of these four activities is no more possible. At this stage, the soul departs from the old body to take rest and enter into another new suitable body by way of reincarnation. This is called the activity of dying and the cycle again begins. Method of Application Find the bird corresponding to your birth starCheck the activity in which the bird indulges in the desired period of timeThis will give you an idea about your general state at that time and the trend of the result. For example, if ruling time then definitely expect positive result, if dying time then total negative results. Know your bird You can identify your bird from the following table. You can call it birth-bird or elemental-bird, similar to the word birth-star. Sl. Nakshatra Bird Bright Half Dark Half 1 Aswini Vulture Peacock 2 Bharani - - 3 Krittika - - 4 Rohini - - 5 Mrigasira - - 6 Aridra Owl Cock 7 Punarvasu - - 8 Pushya - - 9 Aslesha - - 10 Makha - - 11 Purva Phalguni - - 12 Uttara Phalguni Crow Crow 13 Hasta - - 14 Chitra - - 15 Swati - - 16 Visakha - - 17 Anuradha Cock Owl 18 Jyeshta - - 19 Moola - - 20 Purva ashadha - - 21 Uttara ashadha - - 22 Sravana - - 23 Dhanishta - - 24 Satabhishak - - 25 Purva Bhadrapada - - 26 Uttara Bhadrapada - - 27 Revati - - Now check the day of the week as well as whether it is bright or dark half of Moon cycle. Based on this info check the activity in which your bird is indulging at that period of time. Similar to the Dasa-Antara system, you can check the bird of sub-activity as well. The current activity in which your bird is indulged in along with bird of sub-activity for that period of time will give you an idea about the trend of possible results for that period of time. [To have a detailed table on the same refer to the tables given in the book `Bio-rhythms of Natal Moon']. This is the system of Pancha Pakshi Sastra in nut shell. - 0 -
Guest guest
Dear Shyam S. Kansal ji, The name U.S.Pulippani seems to be the Pen Name adopted by the individual with the name "Sundara Varadacharya"; possibly inspired by the fact that Pulippani (Vyakhra padar?) was a very famous Tamil Siddha Astrologer. There are many books available as written by this ancient scholar Pulippani. Most possibly it is out of immense respect towards this ancient scholar that Sundara Varadacharya adopted the name U.S. Pulippani. But this can cause a lot of confusion to the coming generation and people about the identity of the great ancient scholar Pulippani and this translator/interpreter/commentator U.S.Pulipani alias Sundara Varadacharya. To avoid any such confusion, it is better to refer to this scholar with his own name Sundara Varadacharya than his pen name U.S.Pulippani. Some argue that the ancient Pulippani is none but King Vyakhra Padar, the King of Vyakhra Pada kingdom, popular to us in his original name "Kalyana Varma", the author of Saravali. Most people deny this argument and suggest that Pulippani was a an indigenous scholar of Tamil Nadu origin and is different from Kalyana Varma, the author of Saravali. The books of Pulippani available in Tamil support this argument. Love and regards, Sreenadh , "Shyam S.
