Dear Neelamji,

This was certainly a good one.

Again you have used a new term which I am not quite familiar with "

astro opinions " . I did not have anything connected to astro when i

wrote on this, and neither is my mindworking on that angle now, because

these days I need relaxation, cause I amwhole day into astrological

work, so need something different.

I can only think of a small opinion on what that man must have thought

on his way home.

" How will my hand reach behind to apply this cosmetic herbal oil ? Who

will apply this ? "

Now I expect you too give us some astro opinion on the issue.

And do not mind my opinion, my mind is small and I have a retro mercury

which is combust. I cannot think much and do not know much of astrology

to give astro opinions.

But your mail really made me laugh. Two such mails daily will do good to

our health.

Bhaskaran.

Dear Bhaskar ji and Group,Actually the question

was an after thought… as I signed off, my astro-cells got activated and posed

this question to the group.

The astro-opinion on the story, linking to the current thread on Moola, could be:

When one is born under

difficult stars

And one is forewarned and

asked to perform some remedies (think of the salesman telling him to buy the

oil), would one do it? Not always.Had he performed

the remedies (bought the oil), he wouldn't have fallen? Not sure.If he takes the

remedies now (as the doctor has advised), do you think his future is secure?

May be?

Astro-moral of the

story

When the stars are

tough, don't have a bath tub in your bathroom, and don't have fancy slippers to

walk.

Got it… means live in

the most simplistic manner and stars will come to you… to ask you… bataa teri razaa kya

hai?RegardsNeelam

Can you please let me know why has the word " ghatam " translated into

holes instead of pots. Pots are very significant in all rituals and

homams. What is the meaning of holes here. Also, I would appreciate

if you can give me the source of this verse- out of academic interest

Dear Bhagavathi ji,

Please read it as pitcher, the ghatam, and not picture, with hundred holes.

The shloka is from Jatak Bharnam.

Dear Neelamji,

I think there is something missing in the english writeup. The word

Shadchidra chould be " shadchitra " , then it would mean a picture of

hundred, then Ghatam would be pitcher or pot and not holes, so it

means a " picture of hundred pitchers " . Thank you for the reference,

that will help in understanding better

Dear Bhagwati Ji,

Tow three things of essence

basic idea is to collect 100 roots (medicininal so that it does not

cause allerdy to your body hence you put cactus root and then you had

it) That signifyins Moolam and Ketu.

Water of 100 Moolam signifyies Moon (which is moolam) put the

concoction into a Pitcher (roots first). Then some one should hold it

high.

Mother fathe and Child should sit / squat under it.

Then some one should pour the collected water into pitcher.

Theat water through 100 holes would pour down on three and thus the

would take a berbal bath.

That is the proceedure and modus operandi.

Dear Bhagavathi ji,

It means bathing with water from a pitcher with hundred holes. And this

water has to be collected from 7 tirthas.

I'll locate the shloka and post it. There are some typoes in the other one.

Dear Bhagawati,

Let me assure you that I have never studies Sanskrit beyond class

8th. But also heard it at home and alwys took interest in my old

family priest who would invite me for every poja as his companion

Stutikarta. I remble at times in handling sanskrita .

However in this case int is correct. it is Sat + chhidra and when

combined it becomes " adachhidra " so the water drops out of those

chhidra.

Actualy writting sanskrita in Roman script is a use less effort and

does not accept Unicode Font.

So this is " Kmchalau " ..I hope you understand that.

Dear Shobhana ji,Your reaction to my post is really uncalled for and it was not even related to any of the statements you made, Infact I even mentioned that 'Shobhana ji has already given us some remedies to ward off the evil'. And my next post was entirely different and an answer to Sunil ji who knows what I mean and hope others too.

Please understand, and be sure that we do not doubt your intentions and in no way accuse you for promoting anything that goes against what an astrologer should be. If any of my sentences gave you that feeling, I may be excused unconditionally.

Regarding the doubt about bringing in KNR, I hold him in the same high esteem as probably you do. What I mentioned was Upayacharis, an in bracket gave him the credit of coining the term, as it was not my usage. I just try to remain intellectually honest and give credit where it is due. I was only praising him if you can read properly.Pleas read what I have said again with an open mind and you will understand that I was only taking what you said forward and in no way against any word that you said.

I did not need to give any explanation to you, but since you're knew to the group, it is our duty to make you comfortable, hence these explanations. Hope you understand now. That is why it is better to introduce oneself if one wants to progress with any seriousness, so that nobody misunderstands you.

Nelam Ji Excellent post I read,

I got a little impulsive which I am.

Probably You are a Guru like Goel ji and I have lots of regards for

Gurus.

i am only a nasty student. I am not new though. I run a very very

sucessful and popular group mind you not a web site) on Orkut.

I have no qualms but astrology for which I feel I am dedicated.

Regarding KNR or any one else, I do not believe in " Akharas " . I hold

him in very high esteem but reserve my right to critise him where I

feel he deserves it. I have same regards for many to include a young

lad called PVR Narasimha Rao and Guru called Sanjay Rath and of

course many other deserving teachers of BVB.

My efforts through astrology is EGO-DAMAN otherwise I have no

business to be here or anywhere else in astrology.

Regards.

In my earlier post, wanted to add a bit on a retro mercury with combust sun.

I know some of the best minds with this combination.

I do not know your chart, but if sun is a shubh planet in the nativity, like

LL or 9L and placed in good house with mercury also happy there, it can give

only good results and make the mercury shine with its divine rays. It will

give the native extra prowess with mercury and astrology. Even if mercury is

retro, is an added strength in many ways.

Don't we know the famous budhaditya yog. Under the favourable conditions of

sun being shubh (trinal lord in trines or own house) or mercury in own

house/friends house… this yog fructifies, otherwise it is one of the most

common yogas and doesn't mean much. In such a favourable condition, the

closer is the connection of sun-mercury, the better it is.

Retro mercury makes this mercury a little obstinate, not even bowing down to

sun, but sun being a friend of mercury and father figure, knows how to

control this brat. But all the same, a retro mercury has his own ways of

working also and does not fall under the norms.

Thank you Shobhana ji for understanding,But I am no Guru. Goel ji of course is much senior and we can call him a Guru. I am as much a student as you are, but do not hesitate in calling spade a spade, but also do not forget to give the credit to the devil also.

It'll be nice if you can introduce yourself, if not in group, send me a mail privately. It will only help in creating a better learning and sharing environment, and to know each other better. What is your group and what do you do there, we would love to know.

RegardsNeelam
