Dear Sreenadh-ji,

Is " Vyakhra pada " is equivalent to " Vyaghra pada " - Tiger's foot ?

Re: Pancha Pakshi Sastra (5 Bird System)

Dear Shyam S. Kansal ji,

The name U.S.Pulippani seems to be the Pen Name adopted by the individual

with the name " Sundara Varadacharya " ; possibly inspired by the fact that

Pulippani (Vyakhra padar?) was a very famous Tamil Siddha Astrologer. There

are many books available as written by this ancient scholar Pulippani. Most

possibly it is out of immense respect towards this ancient scholar that

Sundara Varadacharya adopted the name U.S. Pulippani. But this can cause a

lot of confusion to the coming generation and people about the identity of

the great ancient scholar Pulippani and this

translator/interpreter/commentator U.S.Pulipani alias Sundara Varadacharya.

To avoid any such confusion, it is better to refer to this scholar with his

own name Sundara Varadacharya than his pen name U.S.Pulippani.

Some argue that the ancient Pulippani is none but King Vyakhra Padar, the

King of Vyakhra Pada kingdom, popular to us in his original name " Kalyana

Varma " , the author of Saravali. Most people deny this argument and suggest

that Pulippani was a an indigenous scholar of Tamil Nadu origin and is

different from Kalyana Varma, the author of Saravali. The books of Pulippani

available in Tamil support this argument.

Love and regards,

Sreenadh

Respected members,

I have heard that this Pancha pakshi sastra also can be used in Prashna

method.

I think in one of the forums Pt. Daskshinamurty previously said that

it requires some attainment of 'Siddi' also to used this system.

Therefore he was teaching this sastra to his students under Guru-sisya.

parampara.

Namaste,

Pseudo Pandits with their glittering adds on lead direct to moksha; the question

of siddhi is left to the sisya's poorvapunya.
