Guest guest
Respected Sir, Would reciting the Kalabhairavashtakam be an effective propitiatory remedy for rahu? Why is it that charity/daan takes precedence over mantra as a propitiatory meaure? Apart from the fact that charity is an act of kindness and the bhavana/feeling is there while performing it what happens when a mantra/stotra is recited with the same bhavana? Also I know this is a deviation, but could you please clarify the difference between Mantra and Stotra? Thanks and Regards, PNR , <siha> wrote: > > Hello PNR, > > I add my replies in capitals to your message. > > Best wishes, > > > > - > " pnr312 " <pnr312> > > Thursday, September 22, 2005 8:24 AM > rahu and ketu > > > > Respected Professor and list members, > > > > What happens when Rahu and Ketu are in their signs of exaltation? > > RAHU GENERALLY GIVES MATERIAL RESOURCES WHILE KETU GIVES SPIRITUAL > INCLINATIONS. > > For a libra ascendant, if say Rahu is in Taurus (exalted) and in the > > 8th house away from the mep, what would be its effect? > MATERIAL RESOURCES AND OBSTRUCTIONS. > > Similarly what is the impact of ketu in its sign of exaltation > > (Scorpio) in the second house away from the mep? > SPIRITUAL INCLINATIONS. > > How would the above placements in the natal chart be impacted during > > their transit? > SHORT LIVED OBSTRUCTIONS. > > What are the significations of Rahu and Ketu or rather what are they > > karakas for? > > RAHU FOR MATERIAL PURSUITS AND MANIPULATIONS. > KETU FOR SPIRITUAL INCLINATIONS. > > Thanks and regards, > > PNR > > > > > > > > > > > > > >

And there is little scope of discussion for changing my opinion based on my experience of years. Guest guest
Respected Sir, I completely agree that experience is invaluable and takes precedence over theory any time. With that in mind I'll take it that there is no substitute for charity/daan. Thanks and Regards, PNR , <siha> wrote: > > Hello PNR, > > I tell about my experience. Guest guest
Dear Prof and list members, I came across an interesting point for events timing. I'm not sure if SA approves of this though. So can you just clarify. The point is :- Timing of the marriage apart from depending on the bhukthi (i.e one of the karakas like 7th lord, 2nd lord etc) also depends on the transit of the Nodes. The thumb rule suggested is, the event of marriage happens when the nodes are transiting the lagna axis or moon axis or natal node axis in the Natal chart. This may not be acceptable in SA, but I just wanted to know because I tried applying it to a set of known cases and it works though I do not want to apply induction and say this always right. Hence the query. Guest guest
Hello Venu, There are so many cases of delayed matter brought up here and on other lists. Try your principle there. I know this and it works only in past cases. People come to astrology for help in case of problem and for predictions. Guest guest
Namaste, Rahu and Ketu said to yield / grant Rajayoga and superior subha phalam on TWO contingency - is this true?
Guest guest
Namaste,Mr.Goelji,Axiom: kendra konathipathy sambhandha causes Raja yoga during their dasa.Axiom:Rahu Ketu adopts the house where ever they are posited. On the lines of the references,it is every Austrologers prudence that would prevail on them to draw their conclusions as " if nodes are placed in angular houses and have sambandha with trine lords, they give Rajayoga".Laghu Parasari only reiterates the above point to every Austrologer.> if nodes are placed in trine and are in sambandha with angular lords, they become yogakarka. The above referred inverse point to the earlier discussed (Laghu Parasari says that ,if nodes are placed in angular houses and have sambandha with trine lords, they give Rajayoga)is an additional information which I thankfully acknowledge.--- On Thu, 8/14/08, Gopal Goel <gkgoel1937 wrote:
Guest guest
Dear Raaghavam, The first Axiom is applicable to seven planets from Sun to Saturn. It is not applicable to nodes , as they do not own any sign (houses). Your second Axiom is no doubt is correct , but you have to refer another Axiom to find out when nodes become Rajyogakarka. Kindly refer sloka 13(which you have quoted) of Laghu Parasari, sloka 21(which I have quoted in previous mail), which lays down the axion as to when Nodes becomes Rajayogakarka. Third sloka 36 of Laghu Parasari on Nodes is very useful in dasa phal in Vimsottari system.
