Guest guest
Dear Sreenadhji,I'll try to compile and post it tonight.RegardsNeelam2008/8/3 Sreenadh <sreesog Dear All, Similar to the series " Lagna Lord in Various Houses " , I would like to start a new series with the name " Lagna Navamsa in Various Houses " . Let us start with Aries Lagna. So the question becomes - " 'What are the various results to predict for Lagna Navamsa in various houses for Aries Lagna? " . I hope that this exercise may give us some understanding on 'How to predict with Navamsa?' I request you to be specific and to the point - please leave-out the general results that can be predicted for Aries Lagna (this we have already covered in another exercise) and be specific about the results generated by the Navamsa placement. That is, we assume the native took birth within the following degrees for the 9 combinations under consideration - 1) Aries Lagna Aries Navamsa (0.00 - 3.20) 2) Aries Lagna Taurus Navamsa (3.20 - 6.40) 3) Aries Lagna Gemini Navamsa (6.40 - 10.00) 4) Aries Lagna Cancer Navamsa (10.00 - 13.20) 5) Aries Lagna Leo Navamsa (13.20 - 16.40) 6) Aries Lagna Virgo Navamsa (16.40 - 20.00) 7) Aries Lagna Libra Navamsa (20.00 - 23.20) 8) Aries Lagna Scorpio Navamsa (23.20 - 26.40) 9) Aries Lagna Sagetterious Navamsa (26.40 - 30.00) That means we are going to discuss the Aries Lagna Native in detail. What would be difference between the destiny of these individuals? What are the different results to be predicted for them? How much does it match with the reality? (Quotes may not be good enough when reality is in question) I hope you will enjoy this series. ;=) I request Neelam ji to start the discussion with an informative base note about the same quoting the classics. Note: Once the theoretical discussion round is over, we will verify the derived results with Aries Lagna charts with various navamsas. Love and reagrds,Sreenadh
Guest guest
Dear Sreenadhji and group,Navamsha is a link between the signs and the asterisms. Although, the navamshas are named after the signs (Aries, Taurus, etc.), each navamsha coincides with one of the four padas of the nakshatra. As we all know, classics and traditional texts are not very clear regarding navamsha results, thus many astrologers, especially new and inexperienced, are deprived of tapping into this gold mine.Even BPHS has not given any results on the basis of navamsha risings or positions. There is only mention of vargeeya bal and results from karkamsha lagna, as far as navamsha is concerned. Saravali is most eloquent about this issue and has given results for all the nine navamshas for all rashis separately. Hora Sara gives a generalised picture of nine navamshas falling in any sign. Hora Ratnam and Jatak Parijat discuss the navamsha results as per lordships. I have tried to collate here some results of different navamshas for Aries nativity as per Kalyan Verma's Saravali, Hora Sara by Prithyusas, Hora Ratnam by Acharya Balabhadra and Jataka Parijatam by Vaidyanatha Deekshit. Guest guest
Namaste Madam ji, Yes, the navamsa and nakshatra-padas have close relation. For timing events, nakshatra tracking has been giving excellent results. Case studies of Sri Varahamihira...when he predicted the Prince's death..... event which happened under watch eyes of king's court, according to one side of a " story " in between the commentary of ongoing, he confirmed the death as the transitory planet moved into a nakshatra pada..... May be on genuine reason to include it in the daily panchang i.e. nakshatra movement/times than amsa positions or tables..etc.. Though we have been using 22nd Drekana & 64th Navamsa Lordship planets to cause death or major events, actual timing seem to be coming from the transiting of nakshatra of those lords or 8HL or navamsa dispositors of 8HL. I have not been able to conclude on this as a method or technique, but based on my own studies, sharing it. { I have used events happening 22nd drekana & 64th navamsa dispositors nakshatra - transits - considered for each House to match with actual events}. With regards, Sreeram_Srinivas
Guest guest
Dear Neelam ji, First let me thank you for comprehensive post covering every aspect of Navamsha position of an Aries Lagna native. Please find the principles you have mentioned being checked with an Aries native + Virgo Navamsha and see how far the contents are appicable/not. 1. In anciSixth Navamsa: The native will be dark in complexion, soft in disposition, will have eyes, akin to that of a deer, be tall in stature, will have irregular (defective) stomach and hands, be a eunuch, be timid and garrulous. The native is not dark in complexion but very fair. Not very tall. Small eyes..not akin to that of a deer. Not euncuh, not timid and garrulous. 2.Virgo Navamsh: will be happy in his boyhood, will have knowledge of arts, be impotent, thievish, have few sons, be fortunate, attached to others' works, liberal and intent on living in foreign places. There will be doubt about life in his 60th year, or 20th year, or the 5th year. He will, however, live up to 108, with progressing wealth Yes..can say he was happy in his boyhood; some knowledge of arts..possible; not impotent..he has chidren of his own; not thievish but probably may lie occassionally; only 1 son...but nowadays everything is controlled; fortunate - this of course varies for all ...but yet ..in a general sense I can say he is fortunate; liberal -yes quite; has lived in foreign places -yes not recently- but travelled quite a bit; Longevity yet to see...as he is only 54 years now. 3. Navamsha of MercuryHora Ratnam: One born in Navamsha of Mercury will be dark bodied, will have roving eyes, an even body, a broad chest, long and curly hair and charming teeth and waist. He will be short-lived, skilful in trade, courageous, wealthy, happy and endowed with an excellent female, robes, garlands and ornaments.Jatak Parijat: Liberal, impassioned, handsome and well-known for his learning and has a good name. He is fair bodied...I've already mentioned it;broad chested -yes; curly hair - yes; skilful in trade - yes; courageous - yes; wealthy - yes; happy - this is a factor which varies in the course of life depending on prevailing situations; endowed with an excellent female -yes; he loves to collect oranaments and also to dress well; Liberal -yes; impassioned - can express ideas strongly..if that is what's meant here; can be said he is somewhat handsome..though may be not to my taste; Yes, quite well known and has a good name and also a bad name....among certain sections. I hope others will come up with different navamshas of Aries natives or the same navamsha but with different attributes other than which I have mentioned. blessings Renu ent_indian_astrology , "neelam gupta" <neelamgupta07 wrote:>> Dear Sreenadhji and group,> > Navamsha is a link between the signs and the asterisms. Guest guest
Dear Renu ji,Thank you for testing the principles. That was a great job. I would request others also to check the applicability of these tenets. We cannot expect to match all the traits... a lot will also depend on the other influences on lagna/LL. Even the prevailing dashas have an impact on personality. I have seen new and different personalities emerging in different dashas. It should be in a manner that it could be put into practice - and it certainly is the reason for "extensive testing and filtering of the derived results based on the actual results and responses we receive in this group" Let us see how it goes. Guest guest
Namaste Durga ji, Generally, we are taking 22nd drekana & 64th navamsa lordship for longevity calculations or lagna linked events..... I have extended that principle to other houses as well i.e. events related to finance -2H or major travels-3H, property or education -4H...etc.. taking the 22nd drekana & 64th navamsa lords from respective houses. Instead of just taking the planet, I considered the nakshatra of that planet, then applied major or minor planets transit through that " nakshatra " . 1) In Nadi literature, Sri C.S. Patel in his studies, has considered transit planets through the same " Longitude or Degree " in natal chart for event timing. 2) Or Transit planets through the natal chart longitude of a HL's navamsa dispositor. 3) Taking a variation from above (2) i.e. consider Transit planet through navamsa dispositor's " Nakshatra " . Cannot say it is definite....still evolving.... With regards, Sreeram_Srinivas
Guest guest
Dear group, The moon lagna is as important as the janma lagna. I personally use moon lagna a lot in predictive astrology. So I decided to contribute this to the ongoing Lagna-Navansa discussion. I hope I am not deviating from the topic of interest. I do apologize if this message is not in the right spirit This native has moon in Mesha Rasi and Navamsa- First Navamsa: The native will have a face, resembling that of a he-goat, with nose and shoulders not being very prominent. He will have a fierce voice, ugly appearance and narrow eyes. His body will be thin, but free from defects. He has prominent nose and shoulders, his unique features, He has a fiery voice, well-built, not thin, he does not have defects, appearance not ugly but not pleasing either Aries Navamsh will be mischievous, mean, will be weak sighted, not peaceful, bilious in temperament and sensuously disposed. Birth in Mesh Amsh will confer malefic results, or diseases in the 12th, 25th, 50th, or 65th year of age. He used to be mischievous and mean, of course things changed with age, but his profession also demands it as he deals with criminals. He is not weak-sighted, he is not peaceful, he is bilious in temperament , not sensuously disposed. Yes, he is a trouble- prone individual Hora Ratnam: One born in Navamsha of Mars will have brown hair, round eyes, somewhat depressed back, fair in complexion, will have ugly or diseased nails, a scarred body and will be lustful. he will be wicked, envious, skilful in usurping the aaquisitions of females and less righteous. He will be happy, cruel, a destroyer of foes and very miserly. He has black, curly hair, round eyes, straight back but has back problems, medium complexion, somewhat scarred body, not lustful, envious, traits like wicked and cruel, destroyer of foes is also true somewhat as he deals with criminals!!! Jatak Parijat: Addicted to cruel deeds, be fickle minded, of wandering habits, afflicted with bilious complaints and avariciousHe is afflicted with bilious complaints, avaricious, has wandering habits, fickle-minded, cruel deeds because he deals with criminals bhagavathi
Guest guest
Dear Sreeram Srinivas, You are perfectly right. You have rightly extended the principle. I think you have left the last sentence incomplete. It should be, if I have rightly understood you, that you use 22nd dreshkon and 64th navamsha from Moon for that, considering that house as lagna and use 22nd dreshkon for its malefic or benefic result. 22nd dreshkon and 64th navamsha from Moon, gives indication of malefic effect for that house. Guest guest
Dear Chakraborty ji, ==>> As I understand, a specific navamsha ( Aries or Ta etc.)> may come from 9 rashis or more specifically, from> 9 Nakshatras.<== This is wrong. The 30 degrees of Aries sign is divided into 9 equal parts of 3.20 each. Each of them is known as a Navamsa; i.e. 1/9 the of a sign. Each of this sub division has a ruler sign and a lord. For example the first navamsa belongs to Aries/Mars; the second to Taurus/Venus and so on. All these Navamsas are OF Aries sign but only the subdivision lordship belongs to other signs. Or in other words you can say that - 1) The 1st Navamsa OF Aries is IN Aries. 2) The 2nd Navamsa OF Aries is IN Taurus 3) The 3rd Navamsa OF Aries is IN Gemini 4) The 4th Navamsa of Aries is IN Cancer 5) The 5th Navamsa of Aries is IN Leo and so on. The IN clause is used only because, 'the navamsa is notated so' and their for easy to understand and visualize. If it is said that Aries 3rd Navamsa is IN Gemini it is easy visualize that - the Ruler for 6.40 - 10.00 area of Aries sign is Gemini/Mercury. If you want to use the alternate terminology of Navamsa/Navamsaka then - 1) The 1st Navamsa of Aries has Aries Navamsaka 2) The 2nd Navamsa of Aries has Taurus Navamsaka 3) The 3rd Navamsa of Aries has Gemini Navamsaka 4) The 4th Navamsa of Aries has Cancer Navamsaka 5) The 5th Navamsa of Aries has Leo Navamsaka and so on. You statement about Nakshtra Padas is also wrong. A sign contains 2.25 Nakshatras and thus 4+4+1 = 9 Nakshatra padas. For a sign since Nakshatra padas and Navamsa are equal in number and covers the same area it can be said that Nakshatra pada is same as Navamsa. But from the above statement itself it is clear that out of the 9 Nakshatra padas - 4 belong to Aswini Nakshatra 4 belong to Bharani Nakshatra & 1 belong to Kartika Nakshatra. Thus only 3 Nakshatras are involved and NOT 9. The result derivation methodology that should be used for Navamsa and Nakshatra pada are entirely different - even though they overlap. Nakshatra based prediction and Sign based prediction follow different paths. Here we are discussing Sign based prediction, or better predictions using divisions of signs - i.e. here Navamsa. Nakshatra pada based prediction system does not come into picture at all.Hope this clarifies.
