Guest guest
//Do You Think that a Planet can be called debilitated just because it isin its debilitated sign, and same for Exaltation. My views- I dont think so // Dear Bhaskar, You are right in saying this. By definition, the exaltation and debilitations pertain to a section of a star and not the entire star, leave alone the sign. In fact, whether the planet is really in debilitation becomes very important when it has left the debilitation point and started moving forward. In such an event though it is in the debilitation star and debilitation sign, it acts very strong - though by modern definitions, it is debilitated. This sometimes can land us in totally wrong conclusions and predictions. However, it has become a tradition to consider the entire sign as the area of deb, since often the birth times are not accurate and it is not possible to pinpoint the position of the planet to a specific degree (or a small range of degrees such as its exaltation or debilitation) This is the reason why you should never predict the extremes., such as saying that the planet in debilitation is totally ineffectual (being a benefic) or highly cruel (being a malefic). Hope this helps, Kishore patnaik
